Posted on 09/23/2012 10:03:08 AM PDT by kozanne
By a vote of 81 to 10, the Senate on Saturday defeated legislation that would have suspended foreign aid to Pakistan, Egypt and Libya in the wake of the violent anti-American demonstrations in those countries. All 10 supporters of the bill were Republicans.

Use this link to see how YOUR Senator voted. Let them know how you feel about the insanity of giving OUR MONEY to nations who are our sworn enemies!
Sorry, I pretty much have given up on the GOP as a party of any kind of American leadership
Democrats, well they lost it decades ago
Throwing borrowed money into a rat hole that will likely wind up in the hands of west-haters should be an easy thing to vote against. We are SO screwed.
Our politicians just don’t get it.
Well, I don’t have to look to know how my two leftist Senators voted.
There MAY be 10 senators worth re-electing.
But just to be on the safe side, throw them all out.
Some days the best word I can think of when it comes to this kind of insanity is ‘gobsmacked’.
What the blazes is in the water in DC?
I know after this election, my two GOP backsliding Senators are dead meat to me. Primary them. Do it hard.
It is really hard to watch this on a daily basis.
Power is an intoxicating thing. Power of the ‘ruling’ party is GREAT! Power of the losing “loyal opposition” is still great.
These people have been in that rarified environment far, far too long. They all need to be bitch-slapped and sent home.
was anything else attached to this bill???
Read the information at the following link, then go to the blog called ‘Gates of Vienna’. It is all about global conquest by Islam. The communists are involved, but they’ve been subsumed by Saudi Arabia.
The oil embargo failed in the 1970s to achieve altering Western Civilization. But BHO2 has put the US, and its economy, completely at the mercy of the Middle East’s oil nations, and they want submission to Islam.
Does 1979 newspaper column shed light on 2008 campaign story? (Possible Saudi support for Hussein)
Lisa Murkowski votes NAY, ie more money to the islamic hell holes. That’s a surprise!
Yes, but I haven’t gotten to that part in the reading yet.
You can read the text of the bill at the link. The title says “and for other purposes”, but I don’t see anything unrelated to the main reason.
How did Okla. vote? I think I already know.

Now a comment.
There were other similar bills introduced. Ishtook for one also had a bill.
I think part of the lack of zeal for this version was that it was introduced by Rand Paul. Should not make a difference, but I think it did.
Murkowski is a worthless RINO B
Portman voted to continue funding????
Portman voted to continue funding????
Conservatives are the real RINOs now.
fail the senate..why would pubs support more debt..caus all dc is gettting rich
I have confidence in my source of data. Could not find the actual Roll Call Vote on the Senate site, but Gov. Track is very reliable.
senators are brain dead idiots!!!
We shouldn[t be giving aid to anyone,
We should be demanding repayment for all aid given in the past to all countries.
Shame on Ultra-RINO's Cornball and Hutchison of Texas.
I notice that BOTH CINOs from Texas voted against. Losers. Thank God KBH is out in January.
That's why I now pretty much exclusively use the term CINO, because they are republicans, but are Conservative In Name Only. (i.e., when they run for re-election.)
You are correct. You should have seen KBH “trying” to “talk” conservative at the TX GOP Convention in Ft. Worth. She was not booed but saw lots of head shakes and she got very litle applause.
She is dumb pure RINO.
Time for a new Conservative Party. We should be laying the groundwork now.
What’s with all the cowardly “no votes”?
Wow! Glad to see Alabama’s Richard Shelby voted to cut aid. Usually he’s a RINO. But then I see Jeff Sessions vote Nay. Makes no sense...
Knowing that Shelby will have an election in 2016, this may be to give him cover for that time in a very Christian conservative state.
But Sessions is up first in 2014.
I don’t know what to think. I suppose the various senators knew the vote would fail, so all the Yea votes were just so much political posturing.
I think there are some otherwise conservative members who voted as they did because Paul sponsored it. There was similar bill sponsored by Ishtook in OK.
I am not saying that I totally understand this. Only stating this is what the roll call vote was. It was rather hard to find the roll call vote. Could not find it on senate.gov or thomas when I looked.
Franken and Klobuchar=”NAY”
what a shock
