I have sympathy for candidates wives and families but this is Romneys 4th campaign. She puts herself out there and expects for people to make it easy for her. Life is hard and for most people hard is not just being asked questions you don’t like. If it is so hard maybe you should discuss it with your husband not the public.

Good for Ann. Good for Jonah. Mitt Romney was not and is not my first choice. He’s not doing as well as I’d like. That said, he’s doing better than I was afraid he might. And even if he weren’t, it’s done. He’s the Republican nominee. And he’s the nominee, or at least the type of nominee, a lot of these same folks, both the political hacks and the journalist hacks, wanted. They didn’t want the big, brave, bold-colors candidate. They wanted the safe, competent, risk-averse, beige-and-pastels, even boring candidate, and that’s what they got. And a lot of them did their part in making that happen. So no, I don’t have a lot of patience for or sympathy with them if they’re now going wobbly. That, from them, is treacherous. Shame on them.

Ravi Zacharias answers an audience question - Is Mormonism a cult? Azcharias proceeds to give the classic definition of what cult means and then moves to talking about the idea of choosing to vote for someone based on their religion. He conveys that in politics when faced with choosing a leader, pick the one who will give the nation the best moral soil to look for Christ. He cautions that we should use the term “cult” wisely, mindful that with “Jim Jones, etc” it comes with baggage and loosely used in public it says more than what is intended.

I do not think Obama is the man that Ravi Zacharias will vote for in November.

Mitt is arrogant....
____________________________________________________________

I certainly agree w/ that statement. I would also add that I think Ann comes off a touch arrogant as well. She came off better when she showed a “softer” side. She’s become, IMHO, a bit screechy. But who’s to say how I would sound if everyone appeared to be attacking my spouse.

One other thought...if Willard loses...what’s to keep him from going back and ammending his return to claim all of his deductions? I’m not a tax expert...but couldn’t he go back and claim his full deductions for the charitable contributions? And why the heck wouldn’t you take all the deductions the law allows? I sure as heck do.

Willard’s team have got to get it together...this campaign needs focus. It really is the economy....IMHO...focus on the economy and how Willard can make it better. That should be an easy sell. Lay out the freaking numbers....and explain how it “can” be if Willard’s Prez and he’s got the backing of an R Congress. Willard’s got to lay it all out there about what he needs...what WE need....to turn this ship around. And he needs to do it NOW.

Very well stated. So much better put than my over tired...it is what it is. (man does my spouse HATE that line). We could have had color...instead we’ve got beige. We have to work w/ beige and we have to make beige work for us. Demand it work for us.

Color will just have to wait.

Constructive criticism is one thing, but handing ammunition to the opposition is uncalled for.

Exactly right. With friends like Noonan, Hume and Krystal -- who needs enemies. Bad enough he, or any nominee with an (R) in front of their name, has to fight obama. They also have to fight the entire national, print, local, Hollywood and entertainment media. That's a tough and unfair challenge. If obama were to win, it will only be because the media helped elect him just like they did in '08. It certainly won't be because of his achievements. Obama is a nothingburger. He should be ahead 15 points the way the media is propping him up.

And that would be the nicest thing one could say about him.

If the “conservative” “punditry” wanted a dramatic, envelope-pushing conservative, where were they for Sarah? Tearing her to pieces because she’s “not our class, dear,” that’s where. Heck with ‘em. We have more voters just in my immediate family.

You can keep promoting and defending Mormonism, but you should respond to my post pointing out that Mitt is indeed arrogant.

Mitt has displayed that arrogance and his born superior attitude, throughout his life, it may have something with his knowledge that he is destined to become a God, just like the God we worship.

If you want to see Ann in action, watch her pro-abortion videos or look at her fund raising for and supporting Planned Parenthood.

Mitt’s arrogance and sense of superiority is what led him to leave the GOP when Reagan was winning the nomination in 1979, Romney despises conservatives, devoted Christians, gun owners, patriots and anyone else who makes up the “right”.

Romney is awkward as the republican nominee, because he is having to play an uncomfortable roll and campaign as a moderate republican instead of as a liberal.

Poor Ann is totally confused by how to play republican to the masses.

Here is vintage Ann, woman of the people describing how they barely survived being dirt poor in college, of course both of them were minor celebrities, and wealthy, but as she describes it they ate a lot of “pasta” and tuna and were forced to live on loans from the parents and stocks.

“”Neither one of us had a job, because Mitt had enough of an investment from stock that we could sell off a little at a time. The stock came from Mitt’s father. When he took over American Motors, the stock was worth nothing. But he invested Mitt’s birthday money year to year—it wasn’t much, a few thousand, but he put it into American Motors because he believed in himself. Five years later, stock that had been $6 a share was $96 and Mitt cashed it so we could live and pay for education.
Mitt and I walked to class together, shared housekeeping, had a lot of pasta and tuna fish and learned hard lessons.””

OMW! That’s exactly how I got thru college and graduate school. EXACTLY. Such a small world. /s

I actually don’t begrudge folks who come from wealth or who were lucky enough to have parents/relatives who were able to help w/ education, home, business....whatever. I think that part is great. Never personally had it...but I have friends who have been fortunate to have had a helping hand from their well off family. My lucky friends knew they WERE lucky and were so very grateful for the helping hand. They certainly never got all hoity toity over their good fortune.

No...to me, there’s something else there that is the cause of this Romney arrogance. It can’t just be because they’re rich. I mean W and Laura were rich...and Laura never came off as screechy and aggogant. And truth be told...I don’t even mind a bit of arrogance...if the person has ‘earned’ the right to be arrogant.

So far, at least to me, neither Willard or Ann have done much to give them that ‘earned’ right of a bit of arrogance.

Oh gosh...wish that it was November already. :::sigh::::
