There is evidence he has had something to do with it since at least 9/11 as he has been its biggest promoter. Hollywood producers must be drooling over the amount of free advertising this '14 minute video' has gotten out of the leader of the once 'free' world.

Knowing how Muslims lie because their faith allows them to lie, it would not be a surprise that the Muslim brotherhood actually produced that movie, or spread the news of that movie.

Politicians, even some calling themselves Christian are also known for their bigger than life lies. I have read nothing yet that indicates exactly who is responsible for the creation of that 14 minute video. At this point nothing would surprise me. Somebody sure made sure Obama got an early showing.

“AL-Qaeda said the deadly attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya was in revenge for the killing of the network's number two Sheikh Abu Yahya al-Libi, SITE Intelligence Group reported.

“The killing of Sheikh Abu Yahya only increased the enthusiasm and determination of the sons of (Libyan independence hero) Omar al-Mokhtar to take revenge upon those who attack our Prophet,” said al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula said in a statement, quoted by the US-based monitoring group.

Al-Qaida’s Yemen-based offshoot did not claim direct responsibility for Tuesday's attack on the US consulate in Benghazi that killed the US ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, and three other Americans.

But it stressed that “the uprising of our people in Libya, Egypt and Yemen against America and its embassies is a sign to notify the United States that its war is not directed against groups and organisations ... but against the Islamic nation that has rebelled against injustice.”

The statement comes four days after al-Qaida chief Ayman al-Zawahiri issued a video eulogising Libi, his late deputy and propaganda chief who was killed in a drone strike in June.

Mohammed al-Megaryef, the head of Libya's national assembly, said today that the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi was planned and “meticulously executed.”

Romney should go to a prestigious forum like the National Press Club and give a speech outlining the failure of Obama's Middle East policy, the failure of appeasement, the fact that it is now in shambles, and emphasize the lies resorted to to conceal the extent of the failure which is Obama's personal failure alone.

He should accuse Obama of knowingly sending is Secretary of State and his ambassador to the United Nations out to lie to the American public to cover his own failures. Romney should carefully, repeat carefully, indict the media for its handling of the entire matter since Benghazi.

It should not be apologetic and tone but a full throated indictment of Obama personally.

Romney should make Benghazi the metaphor for the failure of the Obama administration across the board. The media did this to George Bush when it made Katrina a metaphor for the failure of the Bush administration, especially in Iraq. Romney who will not get any help from the media but he can go on the attack and change the entire trajectory of the campaign by getting off defense and getting onto offense.

If Romney makes Benghazi the metaphor for failure, he links it to Obama's failed economic policies and it will not send him back in his campaign but make across-the-board failures crystallize into a single metaphor.
