President Obama has established a substantial lead against Republican challenger Mitt Romney in Minnesota but remains under the critical 50 percent mark and trails Romney among independent voters...
The poll shows Obama drawing 48 percent of likely voters to Romney's 40 percent. Part of Obama's advantage comes from a yawning gender gap in his favor. Romney has a slight edge among men, but the president leads among women voters by more than 20 percentage points....
Janet Schneider, a St. Paul Democrat, is one of those worried about jobs and health care. She's 69 and is looking for a part-time job to make ends meet. But she thinks Obama deserves another shot.
"I think people haven't given him a chance to get our country back where we want it to be," she said.

Maybe someone from Minnesota can tell us whether that reflects the state....sounds right to me....
2011:
Democrats: 45.4 %
Republicans: 39.6 %
Independents: 15%
The Minnesota Poll is the Minneapolis Star and Tribune. What this really means is that Obama is up by 2% or 3% after you factor in voter fraud. Think of us as North Cook County i.e. you can usually count on a large sack of neglected votes to show up as needed from one place or another.
There will also be a receptive judge to toss out the law with regard to these mysterious votes...as needed. It will likely be closer than 8%, but Obama gets Minnesota.
Women worried about jobs favor Obama.
If there are no jobs and your reaction is that people haven’t given Obama enough time, what does that mean she’s really worrying about? Because certainly it is not jobs.
Mondale carried Minnesota. Obama will too.
...and this is why the second internal question you ask after finding out the percentages of the party vote is how many women to men if you want to find out how badly polls are skewed.
Tens of millions of idiots like her are dooming this country. She's worried about jobs and health care, and someday may very well find herself on the losing end of a government panel decision to discontinue curative medical treatment in favor of a blue pill.
But in her twisted mind... in this pivotal election.. Obama deserves "another shot."
Well, Janet... if he is indeed reelected, remember... you'll eventually get what you asked for.
Minnesota elects bizarros like Jesse Ventura and Al Franken. Hopefully Romney isn't going to be tempted to throw campaign money at that state. Milk it for fundraising, but don't pour anything in there. Like California and New York, for Presidential elections, it's conquered territory.
Minnesotans would vote for Jack the Ripper if he had the DFL endorsement.
2008 was a 10.2% win for Obama..........
Which is why Romney is up an average of 7.8% according to www.unskewedpolls.com
Up in the 8th District, there’s tons of Cravaack and Kurt Bills signs, but none with R/R. Would like to see Senator BoxofRocks defeated, but not likely.
“people havent given Obama enough time”
I’d say 25 years to life would be just about enough time.
