In a CBS 60 Minutes interview that aired Sunday night, President Obama inadvertently suggested an approach to the Middle East that places Israel on a par with its Arab neighbors, calling Israel one of our closest allies in the region.
Actually, Israel is by far our closest ally in the region, the one nation in the Middle East that can provide significant and reliable military support in the event of war.
But Obama during his presidency has pursued a more even-handed approach with respect to the Arabs than his predecessors, maintaining a rocky relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and moving the starting point for negotiations with the Palestinians back to the pre-1967 borders.

“in the region” not in the world? what?
this is sad
This much could be said about any country that isn’t an outright adversary.
The muzzie hates Israel. If he is successful in stealing the election, he will openly abandon Israel as an ally.
Like America is just one of the worlds exceptional countries.
Off teleprompter he is even a greater disaster than on teleprompter. Sicker than old “Hardwood” Biden.
No doubt he counts Saudi Arabia as a close ally because they paid for his Harvard degree. Of course, the jihadis who attacked us on 9/11 were also paid by the Saudis, so calling them “allies” might be a wee bit outrageous.
Video from Denmark where they call Obama out. Very entertaining.
If Obama wins by ONE vote over Romney, he will call it a “mandate” and set about to destroy the free world.<p.Leni
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
I have doubts. I don’t whether Obama favors Shiite or Sunni.
This needs to be repeated, reposted, restated, etc as often as possible.
I'm curious, 0...who else in "the region" are our close allies?
Israel is our closest ally in the region, Israel is our ONLY ally in the region.
How much oil do we get from Israel?
Sad but true. That probably counts.
One of closest allies. Wonder if they are punching above their weight?
Thought, at the end of the day, they may be our ONLY ally in the region.
