I guess for Obama, a dead, buggered ambassador and three other dead employees is just a "bump in the road." It is, in fact, an impediment to his re-election because he chose to forego the truth for fear it would have made him look weak and impotent in foreign policy (which he is)....that damned MSM just couldn't leave well enough alone, as could the conservatives, and NOW he's been shown to be an abject liar as well as the limp director of this nation's foreign policy.

Bump in the road was NOT a gaffe..this is how Obama TRULY feels about our country. When Obama doesn’t have his teleprompter telling him what to say he reveals the REAL Obama, the one who hates Jews, the one who hates Capitalism, the one who hates white people, etc etc..this is the REAL Obama, he is NOT incompetent. I could deal with incompetence, it would mean he isn’t doing this on purpose, he just doesn’t know what he’s doing, I’d rather have that than this..Obama knows full well what he is doing, he just didn’t mean for it to slip out last night

Way to go Obozo....you'll win this one just by your sheer Narcissistic persona alone.....

Why didn't he get really graphic and call them" Body Bumps in the Road".....

I'll bet his opinion of the Electorate in this country isn't much better....

He meant that running over the body a dead ambassador is just like a “bump in the road”.

Somewhat like somebody being “under the bus”.

More from Zeke Miller of Buzzfeed at Romney rally in Pueblo, CO:

Romney: “Bumps in the road? We had an ambassador assassinated, we had the muslim brotherhood elected president in Egypt…”

Romney: “These are not bumps in the road, these are human lives."

I don’t like the job approval jump in Gallup, but the overall voting numbers are good.

In addition, Ras has the race within one-point today again and is great because the leaners are now moving back toward Romney again after being more tilted toward Obama the past couple days.

We are still in good shape to win as long as the ads and visits to swing states make an impact there, not to mention the debates.

Provided you come up with a reason to vote for you via plans, which is what he is starting to do now and will likely accelerate during the debates, which should be good for us. I think we are in good shape at the end of the day.

Romney also spoke to Peter Alexander of NBC News who defended Obama to Romney (via GretaWire):

12;06;04 PA: First, Governor thanks for your time; we appreciate it. We will be back here in Denver nine days from now just six weeks until this election. Polls show you are trailing in pretty much every battleground state, are you feeling some pressure going up against a popular incumbent? 12;06;17 MR: I think this is an election about a choice between two different paths. We watched 60 Minutes last night as a nation, people saw the President’s path forward, they saw the things I would do and we have very different views on foreign policy and a domestic policy. The president characterized as bumps in the road- the developments of the Middle East, we just had an ambassador assassinated. Egypt has elected a Muslim brotherhood or person as president. Iran is on the cusp of having nuclear capability. We have Tumult in Syria and also Pakistan and I don’t consider these bumps in the road, I think this is a time for American leadership domestically; the president’s policies are a continuation of the past four years. We can’t afford 4 more years like the last 4 years.

12;07;02 PA; Governor, in your heart of hearts do you genuinely believe that President Obama, when he referred to bumps in the road and was not deeply-

Perhaps a better way to put it, is do you genuinely believe in your heart of hearts that President Obama wasn’t deeply saddened by the loss of 4 American lives in Libya – that he was speaking more widely about policy in that region not about the loss of lives that took place there at the consulate and embassy.

12;07;23 MR: When the president was speaking about bumps in the road he was talking about the developments in the middle east and that includes an assassination, it includes a Muslim brotherhood individual becoming President of Egypt. It includes Syria being in tumult; it includes Iran being on the cusp of having nuclear capability. It includes Pakistan being in commotion. There are extraordinary events going on in the Middle East and considering those events either one of them or all of them collectively as bumps in the road shows a person who has a very different perspective about world affairs and the perspective I have. I think this is a time for American to exert leadership and this is not something that we are doing in the Middle East and frankly the course we are on also domestically has left so many people behind, I think we have to take a very different course than the course that has been followed over the last 4 year

The media doesn’t even acknowledge that Ambassador Stevens was murdered much less raped. I watched tv all weekend - and there was not one mention of this poor man’s name. I was steaming!

How this Administration can enable a filthy murder and still manage to throw the victim under the bus is beyond me.

Tonight, CBS aired a 60 Minutes interview with President Obama.

But curiously enough, the news magazine show did not air a clip of Obama admitting to interviewer Steve Kroft that some of his campaign ads contain mistakes and that some even "go overboard." ...

"Look, the fact-checkers have had problems with the ads on both sides," Kroft says to Obama in the unaired clip, "and say they've been misleading and in some cases just not true. Does that disturb you? I mean, some of them are your ads."

Obama responds: "Do we see sometimes us going overboard in our campaign, are there mistakes that are made, areas where there is no doubt somebody could dispute how we are presenting things?

You know, that happens in politics
."
