Poll: Romney Beating Obama Among Middle Class Voters By 14 Point Margin…

But… but… but… Obama’s a “working class hero” or something.

Via Washington Secrets:

Middle income Americans aren’t just abandoning President Obama, but believe that his vice president is less qualified than Republican running mate Rep. Paul Ryan to be president.

By margins of up to 22 percent for those earning $60,000-$75,000, likely voters polled by Rasmussen Reports feel that the Wisconsin congressman most known for penning the austere House GOP budget has the chops to be president more than Joe Biden, a long-time senator before becoming vice president three years ago.

The poll tracks the Politico-George Washington University Battleground Poll that found Mitt Romney leading President Obama among the middle class by 14 points, a shocker to some who believed that Romney’s wealthy background would be a turnoff to middle income workers.

Just curious...what is:

But… but… but… Obama’s a “working class hero” or something.

I see it a lot. What causes that?

I see it too, but only in the snippets on the LATEST POSTS page. In the article itself, it’s OK.

Okay, good. So why is Romney behind in most polls? Is it just sampling error? Are the opinions of too many Democrats solicited?

It is most likely java script for certain punctuation, in this case dot dot dot and an quotation marks. Most forums/bulletin boards/etc. are built using varying coding languages. These languages use punctuation marks such as an apostrophe to interpret code/script, so to distinguish between code/script and a punctuation within a post, they use a series of predetermined characters in place of the punctuation mark.

Nothing in these internals makes sense. They show Romney clobbering Obama among group after group, but somehow Bozo always comes out on top.
I think 80% of their samples are usually impoverished single women minority Democrats with ties to Islamic extremism. It’s the only explanation.

It IS the only explanation! Romney is up big with:

1) Men
2) Independents
3) Middle Class

He is in the lead.

I agree and I am worried. Not all of these polls are wrong. The daily Gallup and Rasmussen polls are encouraging but the swing state polls are terrible — and they can’t ALL be wrong.

VERY scary - esp as early voting gets underway.

Can we get an update from someone in Ohio re absentee ballots and early voting?

Okay, good. So why is Romney behind in most polls?

C'mon, do you really believe those polls are accurate? I thought I was naive. Most of them are skewed to deliver the numbers the msm want you to hear. On his program today, Rush Limbaugh spoke about polling and the falsified numbers you, and everyone else, are seeing:

I look at the samples that these people are using, and sometimes it's not even likely voters, it's registered voters. And I think all it does is contribute to a roller coaster, emotional roller coaster that isn't healthy. Emotional roller coasters tend to emphasize the lows, tend to be more affected by the low, by the dip in an emotional roller coaster than when you are at the peak. And I think that's all part of the game to suppress our turnout and to suppress our vote. Romney's job in this campaign is to turn out his base. That's what Obama's doing, and we know what his base is. Obama's base, welfare recipients, the redistribution crowd, he has written off white working-class voters. He has written off so-called rich, but successful people. He's going for a constituency the majority of which we would say are underachievers, and he's using class warfare to do it, and that's who he views his base is, and he's doing everything he can to turn 'em out.

Referring to the poll cited in this thread, Rush said:

It looks like Obama's attempt to crush the middle class, force 'em onto food stamps, has not been lost on those most immediately affected by Obama's war on prosperity. It seems that middle class Americans favor Romney over Obama by 14 points.
