CNBC Poll: Economy’s Worse, but Obama Favored to Fix It
CNBC ^ | 9/25/2012 | Steve Liesman

A national CNBC poll finds President Barack Obama holds a commanding lead over Mitt Romney on the key issue of who would be better for the economy over the next four years.

Obama gets that nod even though Americans, by overwhelming margins, believe the economy is worse now than it was four years ago when Obama's term began.

Our latest CNBC All-America Economic Survey of 800 American adults across the nation shows Obama with a nine-point lead over Romney, 43 percent to 34 percent, on who would do a better job on the economy in the future.

At the same time, 55 percent say the economy is worse off than it was four years ago and just 22 percent think it’s better. Seventeen percent say it’s about the same.

No doubt there is a campaign to dispirit us.

My concern is that even ‘reliable’ pollsters like Rasmussen have shown Obama’s standing to have improved to some degree over the past several weeks. It’s even showing up on his generic ballot, impacting the senate races.

After nearly 4 years of this shit, I don’t understand how anyone could think that Obama is anything but bad for this country...

Adults poll.

How about doing one of likely voters, or are your interns too busy looking at porn, CNBC?

Who are these people surveying? However, watching Howard Stern’s interviews of Obama supporters in Harlem I have a pretty good guess.

Are Americans really that stupid? They see what this fool has already screwed up and they wnat to elect him to do it some more.

Is this a college initiation where they hit you with a board and you have to ask for more?

If only the ultra stupid were affected I would say let them rot, but I am in this boat too and damned if I aint bailing hard to stay afloat while the stupid are drilling holes in the bottom.

We used to laugh the lies Pravda published, but now our “Journalists” put them to shame.

Obama is still going to receive plenty of votes from the "Like, OMG!" crowd. It's American Idol to them.

Which constitutes a huge proportion of the voting public. Howard Stern's idiot-on-the-street interviews with Obama voters say volumes about the ongoing decline.

Their side has spent four months on the moderate recovery message, and our side has not challenged it. That’s the bottom line. As the economy gets worse, the Dems are actually getting less blame because of ‘4.5 million jobs created’ and ‘consecutive months of growth’. Our side needed to get an opposing view out there placing the slight uptick in context...that we fell to the bottom and are still stuck at the bottom.

The fine print at the end...this is a survey of ‘all adults’...not even ‘registered voters’.

Idiocracy...It’s got electrolytes!

If true, I suppose the only thing that will cure our fellow citizens of the stupid is a heavy dose of economic pain. This pain is coming one way or the other. With Obama, the pain could very well be fatal to this republic.

They seem to think the guy that did so much collateral damage ALREADY in his lame attempts to “fix” the economy, is suddenly going to straighten out and fly right NOW?

Some people should just never be in the pilot’s seat.

The airship of the United States was hijacked in 2008. Time to “take back the con”, or it will fly into the ground.

We used to laugh the lies Pravda published, but now our “Journalists” put them to shame.

I've actually renamed them. They are the Pravda Press. Our media is 100% Soviet-ized already. This is EXACTLY what is was like to live in the former Soviet Union, with Pravda and Isvestia simply lying outright at you and not caring at all if you caught them.

You are exactly right. There is a still a large perecentage (the last I seen it was still a majority) that still blames Bush for the economy over Obama. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING is said by our side to refute it. Well guess what? That is now conventional wisdom 40 days out from the biggest election of our lifetimes!

The more he phuques up America, our economy, our defenses and alliances, and the more he subverts our values and ideals, the more his followers think they need more of him.

Sigmund Freud wrote about a “death wish” in the human psyche.
Perhaps he was onto something....
