[ Click above to embiggen: some narratives that an official campaign will never touch...but that will irreparably damage Obama with millions of voters if conservatives get these stories as far and wide as possible; there are no effective counters to these narratives since the facts involved won't ever be addressed by Obama while he is president. ]

Please consider this an Open Thread for today, where you can post anything you think is important to know in this election. From now until November 6th, the normal “Open Thread” around here will be focused instead on being a DOOM ANTIDOTE thread where I do my best to counter whatever lies and propaganda the Left is spinning that’s designed to demoralize and depress Romney voters.

Honestly, folks, I don’t know why some people can’t see that MSNBC, CNN, the NYT and others have a clear agenda to do everything they can to reelect Barack Obama. There are days when even my boyfriend Justin comes into the room, shaking his head, asking “why the media lies all the time like this”. I respond by telling Justin he needs to graduate his awareness of what’s happening around him to the point where he sees that the corrupt, vintage media in this country is actually a Ministry of the Democrat Party. Democrats control the entire “vintage” media…but they do not control online journalists and amateur sleuths who ferret out the truth and work hard to get this information out to others. Though this is largely a volunteer effort by unpaid individuals who write their stories after working their “real jobs”, in 2012 the only actual reporting and breaking-news-stories being filed are those written by conservative writers online. If you’re someone who calls any of these people “bloggers” or refers to their sites as “blogs”, please stop that right now. A “blog” is something shut-ins write about their cats or their Hummel figurine collections. Political websites in the conservative sphere are working much harder than that and are highlighting important information that can — and will — bring down Barack Obama and the Left. You don’t call “flight attendants” by the name “stewardess” anymore and in my opinion you should not call a writer you like online “a blogger”. I personally think that’s like calling a gay man a “fag”…and it’s just as much a pejorative to me. The “vintage” media derisively calls conservative online writers “bloggers” to diminish these hardworking people. Please don’t use that terminology as well, since the actual “journalists” of the vintage media aren’t doing 1/3 the job that online conservative writers are doing in this election. It’s time to retire the word “blog” from your vocabulary since conservative websites in the “new media” have now fully replaced the dinosaur media as the sources of breaking, honest news.

Words matter…especially because the Left often uses words to hurt people they don’t like while making lefties seem more palatable by calling them focus-group-tested terms that “score better”.

For whatever reason, conservatives have a hard time understanding that. Everything in modern life boils down to marketing and branding. Democrats excel at this…and they adapt to the latest news cycle by constantly readjusting how they parse matters or brand themselves to voters. Republicans too often dig their heels into the ground and stubbornly say, “This is how I talk and I ain’t gonna change!”. Well, you’re foolish because the news cycle changes rapidly from week to week and Democrats are always augmenting their verbiage to best influence voters. Think about how the words you use might possibly help the Left…and take note of any words that Democrats use to describe themselves. Never, ever follow the Left’s script or use their chosen branding. This means eliminating the word “liberal” from your vocabularies. Just stop saying it. Use “leftie” or “Leftist” instead. First of all, that’s more accurate…and secondly Democrats hate those terms but love the word “liberal”. It’s vexing to see so many conservative writers constantly going on about “liberals” when they are clueless to the fact that independent voters don’t have a negative perception of “liberal”. Write exactly the same essay but use the word “leftie” or “Leftist” instead and everything packs more of a PUNCH! that makes people take notice. Erode decades of Democrat branding efforts by deleting “liberal” from your vocabulary and employing “leftie” or “Leftist” instead. Resist the urge to dig in your heels and pull that “This is how I’ve always talked!” stubbornness…because doing things the way you always have done them but expecting different results is madness.

If you want to finally win the culture war and burn the Democrat Party to the ground you need to permanently alter the way independents see Democrats. Calling them “liberals” all the time is like calling cockroaches “hug-a-bugs”…you make them sound less threatening and even desirable to some people. So stop that today if you can.

********************************************************

One thing to start, however is to begin pushing narratives in this campaign that Barack Obama can’t possibly counter.

Three great recent stories that obliterate Obama’s chances with large segments of the population are:

* the Obamas’ move to Hawaii in 2013 (which proves they know they are losing and are making necessary preparations for their departure from Washington)

* Barack Obama’s time as “Bathhouse Barry” here in Chicago from the mid-1990s to 2004 (when he ran for the US Senate)

* the Obamas’ lavish, “Evening at Versailles” spending, their nonstop vacations, and their partying with celebrities for four years

There are many things you can do to get these stories out to people using social media:

* Post links to these stories on Twitter and Facebook

* go on any article talking about the Obamas and leave comments referring to these stories (try to include links if you can, but some sites don’t allow links to other stories)

* email the stories to your friends and family

* contact conservative writers and ask them to start covering these stories because you want to learn more

There are things that the official Romney/Ryan campaign will never touch because they are too “scandalous”…but these stories do immense damage to the Obama brand with key voting blocs. People who sympathize with Occupy Wall Street are disgusted by the fact that the Obamas are accepting a $35 million Hawaiian mansion from bankers like Penny Pritzker and others in Chicago. Obama’s black voters are horrified by accounts of him having decadent sexcapades at Man’s Country Bathhouse before he ran for the Senate seat; while race-pride caused large amounts of blacks to turnout in record numbers to elect “the first black president” in 2008, massive numbers of blacks will stay home on election day because they don’t want to vote for the “first gay president”. Accounts of the Obamas’ “Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos”-like spending sprees repulse Americans who struggle to put food on the table in this Depression-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named.

This is the kind of psy-ops that Democrats pull on Republicans every campaign. Conservatives sit back and let it happen…and then fumble for ways to counter class warfare and racial attacks on their candidates. This is just so stupid and it needs to stop. This year, to save the country, Republicans need to go on the OFFENSE…and that means pushing stories in the general direction of Democrat identity blocs that will demoralize and depress members of the Left (instead of this happening to conservatives).

While Democrats are adroit at breeding Eeyores in Republican ranks, something else happens to Democrats when they are afraid they are losing. The Left goes berserk when they fear loss…and anxiety and rage takes over instead of depression and fear. We are already seeing this happen, because Obama is most definitely losing. We just need to drive things over the top so the Left suffers a complete collapse in their ranks.

I have no doubt that a major network news anchor will have a massive heart attack on Election Night when Obama concedes defeat. No doubt, there will be brain aneurysms, epileptic fits, foaming at the mouth, bleeding from the eyes, and possibly even ritualistic suicide too. I awake every morning still dreaming of the sight of Chris Matthews melting into a puddle of tears when he’s forced to admit that “The Age of Obama” has come crashing to a close.

I will delight seeing the Obamas descend the steps of the Capitol in January of next year and alight onto a helicopter formerly known as Marine One to carry them to a 747 that will serve as President Romney’s Air Force One; the Obamas will fly to Hawaii and move into their new place near Honolulu and most of us will only encounter them occasionally for the rest of our lives.

In about ten years or so, Barack Obama will come out of the closet and he will take up a life with Reggie Love, Kal Penn, or any number of male lovers. Michelle Obama will actually surprise a lot of you by becoming happy and fun in her later years as a former First Lady. All my sources here in Chicago assure me that Marion Robinson, Michelle’s mom, is an absolute hoot and is fun-loving and gregarious. Sassy and salty, even. I fully expect Michelle to mature into this role some day. She and Barack will share colorful muumuus in Hawaii, enjoy the sun, and possibly even ogle the same hunky Secret Service agents or beach-going Speedo models. The Obama daughters will go to the Punahou School to finish their education and Miss Marion will spend the rest of her days ordering more mai-tais and being driven around town to various shops and restaurants (a retirement I hope she enjoys because she’ll never again have to endure a Chicago winter).

These people will soon become as irrelevant as Jimmy Carter and his family.

And the four years of extreme weirdness and bizarre mysteries we’ve suffered through because of all them will ultimately fade into obscure memory.

Keep focusing on imagery like this…keep imagining how you want the election to turn out…and then set about doing things that make that happen!

Boy I’m bad at posting articles. I apologize. There was a powerful graphic included in this but I couldn’t get it to copy.

I like HillBuzz, too, but this seems to be a rant about calling writers “bloggers”!

I’ll go over there later - although my computer always acts up over there.

"embiggen"????

Embiggen
To make something better. The opposite of belittle. From a famous saying by Jebediah Springfield/Hans Sprungfeld: "A Noble Spirit Embiggens the Smallest Man", evoking the manner in which its antonym, belittle, was coined by Thomas Jefferson. It is likely a creative conflation of big with the word embolden (to render bold; to hearten, to encourage). The quotation appears on the statue of Jebediah Springfield in front of City Hall.

American actor and writer Wil Wheaton frequently uses this word in his blog when he posts thumbnailed images.

Wil Wheaton, played “Boy Genius.” I like “Smallify” to make things smaller, but that’s silly.
