Romney: Obama 'Did Not' Raise Taxes (who nominated this idiot?)
ABC ^ | 9/25/2012 | Gregory J. Krieg

Paul Ryan stood by helplessly, and in apparent pain, as Mitt Romney strayed from campaign talking points on President Obama's tax record during a joint "reset" rally today in Ohio.

In the midst of remarks ridiculing the president's handling of the economy, Romney said: "I admit this, he has one thing he did not do in his first four years - he's said he's going to do in the next four years, which is to raise taxes."

During the primaries, Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul offered a very different view of the presidents record, when she told the L.A. Times: "President Obama has raised taxes 19 times."

You can see video of this latest gaffe on Mediaite

I swear, if it was anybody else...ANYBODY...even the Hildabeast or Jimmuh Catah...in the WH, there is NO WAY that this asshat would get my vote. None.

Sadly, there is a clear and present danger to the US and a moral imperative to remove that threat.

The GOP-E cleared the way for him and shoved him down Conservative throats. He’s all theirs.

At least he didn’t “suspend” his campaign.

Right, let’s get hysterical because the Obama Media Machine is on the prowl. Settle down, kid.

And that machine has had a hunting license with no bag limit since the 1964 election, at least. They haven't even had to fake objectivity since that time (to my knowledge).

And any person who dares to run for office with an (R) after his name knows that as well. And they have to discipline their words because of it.

Sadly, this asshat never received the memo.

Well, he hasn't raised personal income taxes has he?

I think, I hope that's what Romney meant to say.

If you are talking about income taxes, what Romney said is technically true - but not because Obama did not try to do so. If he gets his way about the Bush tax cuts, that WOULD be raising income taxes. Of course, Obama has raised a lot of other taxes, and, if Obamacare is ever fully implemented, many more will go up. I live in NC and the Democrats have claimed for years that they have not raised taxes because they have not raised income taxes, but other taxes and fees have been steadily going up. That is only one of the reasons while the Republicans took over both houses of the legislature in 2010 and will take the governor’s mansion back in November. No matter who has NC listed as a tossup state, there is no way in h**l that Obama will win NC this year!

Just when I start feeling good about the butt hole he pulls something and I want to throw up.
I can't take 4 more of the FRAUD.

“I hope that’s what Romney meant to say”

It is. We have this odd tendency to pretend the income tax is the only tax. There’re like a billion of them.

It’s true and Romney’s point was Obama is going to raise taxes if reelected. Obama made a flaming disgrace of himself this week, so of course the media applies a fine tweezer to something Mitt Romney said, where the first phrase of half a sentence could be viewed out of context to harm Romney.

Oh no! A minor gaffe that might actually be technically correct!

If making gaffes disqualifies you for the office, then we can’t elect anyone.

Try this: A minor gaffe apology for his opponent that might actually be technically correct!

With his "nice guy but misguided" technique, it's almost like he wants Øbøzø to win.

Freaking idiot. As another said on this thread, the second coming of Juan McLame

The GOP-E cleared the way for him

We need a Reagan II to follow Carter II, but instead we're getting Nixon II. The reason GOP-E didn't like Reagan is because the ticks won Congress in response to Reagan's conservatism. The Gopees don't want to lose their jobs this time, hence their support for a Nixon centrist. Being in the mushy middle didn't buy Nixon any sympathy from the leftist press. They despised him worse for it. Secretly the press is tiring of ass kissing the boy king and want to get back to the good old days of attacking Nixon, which was the tipping point when journalism threw any semblance of objectivity out the window.

who nominated this idiot?

Between 29% and 35% of Republican primary voters.

And the REALLY amazing thing is that a lot of people here defend the process.

I heard the full context. He meant that Obama kept the Bush tax cuts the first time around because 0 said we shouldn’t raise taxes in recession. Romney went on to say that he will raise them if he gets a second term.

You can thank “moderate” Republicans for another weak candidate, who is weak because he has no ideological foundation. When Obama wins a second term, perhaps he will tax all of these know-it-alls till their noses bleed and they’ll be retiring to Costa Rica. They are albatrosses around the necks of conservatives because they don’t live in Realville, as Rush calls it.
