So despite the long history of the Mass Media actively working to elect Democrats, for example 2000 holding the Bush DUI story to the weekend before the election, the 2004 fraudulent Bush National Guard story, the 2008 coordination of Media coverage between the media and the Obama camp via the Jour-0-list website, you “conservatives” want to just blanket accept what ever the Junk media tells you think in 2012?
Please tell me you are not this utterly naive.
Not Rasmussen who was number 1 in accuracy in 2008
We will know much, much more after the first debate.
Mr. President: Why are you so likeable and such a nice guy?
Mr. Romney: How many people have you caused to die and why are you so evil?
The questions are going to be so favorable to Obama...
My take.
NObama got a +2 and Romney a -2 bounce in yesterday’s Gallup poll. Obama got a similar bump in his approval rating of +2. We haven’t seen enough data yet to know if that is statistical noise or a new trend
Obama got a similar bump last week in both the daily tracking and approval Rassmussen’s poll. 5 days later and that bump is completely gone. Today’s Rasmussen, with leaners, shows Romney up +2
So again, this is not enough data to be considered a new trend. We need to see 4-5 more days of this before it can be considered a trend
Here’s another yard sign anecdote: my primary residence is in the 2st Congressional District of Virginia, one of the “reddest” parts of the state (usually rated as an R+7 district). Currently, the GOP HQ in my area has a two-week waiting list for Romney yard signs, while signs for George Allen and the local congressman, Rob Wittman are readily available.
Yes, it’s a very conservative area, but no one has seen enthusiasm like this in a long, long time. The vendor literally can’t keep up with demand, and it’s the same way in adjoining areas as well. Either the Romney campaign hired an incompetent firm to produce their yard signs, or the state of Virginia will turn red again this November.
Another interesting link re: military voting

The liberal media does not need marching orders from anyone to implement Obama last strategy of "demoralizing" the Republican/Conservative base... They know how to do it and they may have even suggested to Obama that this is his final strategy after everything else he tried failed... But this will also fail as well...
What was the breakdown of this as far as Democrats and Republicans
Not a clue...
What is going on out there?
I will be in your neck of the woods (Greensboro Airport to Winston-Salem in a few weeks. It will be interesting to do a sign count that much closer to the election.
Pick your poison. Rasmussen has Obama up in Ohio, Virginia and Florida.
Presidential Polls 2012: Skewed Polling and Biased Media Coverage Give Obama False Advantage http://townhall.com/columnists/johngiokaris/2012/09/26/presidential_polls_2012_skewed_polling_and_biased_media_coverage_give_obama_false_advantage_over_romney
You tell me how any of that mattered? So what? There is extreme bias in the media. And election after election it works against us. So we can either bitch and moan about it, or find a candidate that can prevail over it.
If it makes you feel better to bellyache about it, go for it. But don’t tell me just because we’ve “exposed” this, it makes a bit of difference.
When Soros’ Spanish vote-counting company gets done counting the final votes, this number will be confirmed...
Soros company can do the first statistical counts, but the actual vote ballots still have to be certified by the county election officials then by the state SOS’s. The
Soros machines can be weighted in such a way that the vote counts appear to have Obama indicated as the winner until the official counts(sometimes days or weeks later) indicate otherwise. Then let the riots start!
Maybe someone else posted this, too, but I went back and looked at Gallup’s numbers for the same week in 2008. I’d say this is not a good sign.

My take: people are not upset about America’s global standing, competitiveness or economic freedom. They have been inculcated to be ashamed of being best, first or strongest unless it is a beauty or singing contest, where they can legitimately conclude it is all a matter of personal preference.
A good friend’s 30-something son who lives in the Pacific NW, told us that his life hasn’t changed at all since the 08 election, so he had no problem w/zer0. Another 30-something who has lost his home, but still has a job is convinced “Romney is a crook” and so, will vote zer0. Another 30-something privileged child of a high-earning professional has chosen to live in an extremely liberal region, where she runs a business totally financed by Dad, but since we “no longer have to endure the 8 years of suck” that she thinks characterized 2000-2008, she will vote for zer0. Nothing gets thru to these people. They all work, pay taxes and provide their own health insurance or use a HSA.
Another cohort of die-hard socialists over 65 have theirs and therefore, all is well and they will help out any kids who are being harmed economically. The Jewish ones are ashamed of their inherited religion because Israel isn’t viewed favorably. The Catholic ones pick and choose what they believe. The Protestant ones applaud all redistribution, imported immigrants and all social entitlements as *good*. The Greens love downsizing and simplicity and think we all need to *do something* about *dirty energy*. They are happy to sacrifice for the collective. Everyone who voted for Ron Paul admits they would vote D if RP wasn’t available. Romney investigating the Fed or studying a gold standard means nothing to them, as they simply want to be viewed as radical.
Meanwhile, conservatives who are in business for themselves must watch what they say in order to not alienate customers. We refer to others as “one of us” or “not one of us”. The progressives are extremely confident, happy and satisfied. Better another 4 years of conservatives getting a comeuppance than ever voting for a Republican. They want us “to get what (they think) we deserve”. It is team/tribal politics writ large.
I still think Romney has a chance, but there are far too many Americans who are quite comfortable with things as they are and they are not necessarily taking entitlements. They are living on their capital or have assurance of inheriting family assets and if others are “being helped by government” that is not only fine, it is exactly how they think it should be. If they or their family personally fail, it comforts them to contemplate government help.
I know what to make of it. A threat of a lawsuit by wiseguy Axelrod if their boy ever trails in the Gallup Poll. Nothing more than that. Axelrod should be tarred and featured for playing lowball Chicago politics. He makes me want to puke.
1980 was the only case where the polls understated Republican results anywhere near election day. Those other years did not.
