SWANTON, Ohio — Just when you thought Mitt Romney couldn’t catch a break, he got one.
It came in the form of a Boeing 737 named Ely, which flew in loaded with Ohio veterans returning from a day-long tourist trip to Washington.
Just minutes before Romney was scheduled to leave town on his campaign plane Wednesday, to the pleasant surprise of campaign aides, Ely touched down at Toledo’s airport and parked a few hundred yards from Romney’s plane.
... So shortly after 8 p.m., Romney walked across the tarmac to greet the returning World War II and Korean War veterans. He shook their hands, one by one, as they deplaned on a ramp from their Miami Air charter jet.
“Thank you for your service,” Romney said, over and over again. “Welcome home.”....

Future President Romney went to them, didn't make them come to him. Or, like the current occupier-in-chief, just blow them off. Who am I kidding, they wouldn't have been allowed to land if the anointed one's plane was there.
I first saw mention of this on twitter and then started digging around. The hardest part was finding pictures.
It is absolutely shameful the way the media suppresses stories like this. Buried it in a WAPO blog, disgusting.

photo op where Kerry looked like a dork, trying to catch a football with his eyes closed.
Exactly, Romney took the time. He greeted each one. He could have just ignored them and gotten on his campaign plane and flown away, which is what Barky would have done.

The media won’t report on this because it breaks apart their narrative that they have set in stone that Romney is stiff, he’s uncomfortable around people, he has no charisma. And it’s not just the liberals-—I want to scream at Brit Hume every time he repeats this nonsense. I heard him tell O’Reilly the other night that Romney is ‘stiff’ for the millionth time.
The MSM has been extra-disgusting this campaign cycle, and I expect it to get even worse.

Are you kidding? Obama would have had his people contact the tower and direct the vets' flight elsewhere so he wouldn't have to deal with them.
