U.S. Unimpressed by Netanyahu Speech, Won't Set Red Lines- The Obama administration reiterates

The Obama administration remained unimpressed on Thursday after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s speech to the United Nations and reiterated that the President would not set “red lines” for Iran.

“As the prime minister said, the United States and Israel share the goal of preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon," spokesman Tommy Vietor of the National Security Council said on Thursday, adding, “We will continue our close consultation and cooperation toward achieving that goal.”

Meanwhile, officials in Washington quoted in the Israeli media praised Netanyahu for the conciliatory approach he took towards Obama but made it clear that the United States still opposes placing a red line for Iran.

The officials noted that Obama had been making his way from a campaign stop in Virginia as Netanyahu was making his speech and as such had no time to watch the speech live. While Obama has declined a request for a meeting by Netanyahu, the two are expected to speak over the phone on Friday.

Obama rejected the idea of placing “red lines” for Iran during a phone conversation with Netanyahu several weeks ago, and received backing from Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who said that red lines “are kind of political arguments that are used to try to put people in a corner.”

Earlier this week, Obama likened Israeli pressure on him to draw a clear “red line” over Iran's nuclear ambitions to "noise" he tries to ignore.

Iran can do whatever it wants. Obama offers them strong support, and encourages Iran to ignore the Jooooooos.

That is exactly the speed of the muslim in chief.

In the meanwhile the leader of western civilization has spoken on deaf ears. America? Has no idea of this conjuncture and what it means.

But what do you expect from a nation of fools who voted for the fool prince?

Leon Panetta, who said that red lines “are kind of political arguments that are used to try to put people in a corner.”

Oh no Leon, wouldn’t want to put Iran in a corner,
where they might have to decide if they wanted to
give up nukes or live.
Or is it that Obama doesn’t want to be in a corner
and have to deliver on a promise.

Obama is a hard core Jew hater.
Only the Kool Aid drinkers are still in denial.

What do you expect from obumbler?

I thought Netanyahu’s speech was terrific.

By the way, whereas obumbler speaks in cliches. Netanyahu laid out first a real life picture of what will happen if obumbler continues his foreign policy and then followed it up with a real plan.

Obumbler’s lies about the attack on the embassy in Libya should by itself end his presidency.

Any idea what Romney will say about it?

I think he will cautiously take Israel's side.

This is just like Lybia, where no red line was set, even though they had warnings.

Really.

If you look up Netanyahu’s life story, he is one hell of a man.

A military hero who served in some of Israel’s most elite units.

Obama won't be happy until Israel or NYC goes up in smoke in a nuclear fireball, then the POS would turn around and apologize to iran for offending their muslim sensibilities. Neville Chamberlain was an iron man compared to obama, at least he wasn't a muslim sympathizer.

I’m unimpressed with the US.

Perhaps we should have given Bibi an Obamaphone in case he needs information on David letterman or something.

You know what all those turds at the United Nations were thinking as they listened to Netanyahu?

“Thank Allah that America does not have a man like this as their leader.”

I read on the Internet that after BIbi publicly let BO have it last time at a public meeting that the punk BO said never again would he meet with him face to face. Bibi showed the punk up and he is to chicken to face him again. Sounds plausible to me given BO’s treatment of Bibi.

I think BO is so intimidated by Bibi, that he simple can’t face him. He’s a coward.

BO is still a PUNK (muzlim) schoolboy in comparison. Entirely possible, plausible and probable. Bibi has a real agenda and I can assure you that we need to push him through this, cuzz, whatever happens to Israel? Happens to us.

They now are the leaders of western man on the front line. Those Obama supporters need to think twice of their idea of life without Israel, or, that Israel is in their own boat.
The loss of western man leaves the muzlims and commies nothing left to raid.

I’m beginning to think that what Bibi did today is show the world - everybody, including Israelis, that THIS IS ISRAEL’S REDLINE, regardless of what our worthless wonder in the WH thinks or says. He was just letting everybody know Israel’s position on Iranian nukes. He practically told what kind of targets Israel will strike. He’s communicating and he going to do what’s best for Israel.

Let’s just hope that, when the nukes start being proliferated around the world (and they will under this admin’s “policies”), they target DC first and take out a bunch of the cancer that serves as our “representatives” first. It might give us a chance as regular Americans take up the slack and put us back on the right track. I’d bet the muzzies would think that such an act would cripple us and make us easy pickings - I believe it would strengthen us and bring the real Patriots to the fore where they belong. If they start with other cities and leave those in DC intact, we’re screwed.
