People are dropping party affiliation in droves. In our county in Michigan more people have ask to change their party affiliation than any time in recent history. In our county the Democratic affiliation has dropped 23% since 2008, republican has dropped 4% since 2008, independents have increased 22%.

This is what is skewing to polls, I would not be surprised if the actual voter turn out will be 30D/32R/37I. What is really being under reported in the amount of independents. And if you left the democratic party to be indy do you really think you are still voting for Obama?

By the way why are we being bombarded with Obama ads in Michigan? I thought it was safely in Obama hands?

I have been seeing a lot of Obama ads in Texas the last month,(go figure) but lately been seeing Romney ads about ex-Obama supporters. I think the October blitz is gearing up for team Romney.

Voter watch groups and James O’Keefe (he’s the guy who nailed ACORN) have put a dent in the enthusiam for voter fraud registration scams.

The far left and college students were super jacked up on BDS and willing to serve time in the last presidential election.

So are you saying a lot of people were voting more then once, because of duplicate registrations, or a lot of Democrats died sense 2008? Or both? Or that dead people in Ohio voted more then once as they also had duplicate registrations? This may sound funny, but if so there was some MAJOR fraud going on. If there wasn't serious fraud going on, the number of voters would stay the same, just the dead and duplicates removed (those registrations couldn't have been people that voted before unless there was major fraud.)

I am glad a lot are changing to Independent, though.

Yep, we had a SOS who was so in the tank for Obama that I wouldn’t be surprised if they cheated. Yes, I said it - cheated. (Mirroring my best Mark Levin). She certified the vote count - according to her own bias, of course. Having said that- McCain was a terrible candidate.

Well one thing is certain, the purging of deceased voters is a plus for Romney, they would have never voted Republican in a million years.

That's a darn good point, and one I need to remember. That intensity is absent this time.

I had read about this new Dem registration drop in another article about swing states but it didn’t have Ohio stats so this really is great news.

Some more good news in a Fox News article dated September 23rd: “Nearly half of the young voters who in 2008 registered and cast their first presidential ballot may have not updated their voter registration, according to a new survey, a situation that could most impact President Obama considering that voting bloc helped him to victory four years ago.”

This are young voters across the country. You know who they would have voted for in 2008. A further erosion (upto 50%!!) of an Obama voting bloc...

Ohio’s deadline is 30 days prior to the election. That falls on Sunday, October 7th. Monday being Columbus Day, the deadline this election day is Tuesday, October 9th.

There has been major fraud in elections going back to the 1800’s.

In Dallas in the 90’s, a scandal erupted among Democrats when a new politician outbid older politicians for the services of vote bundlers. These guys went around passing out ballots, collecting them and ensuring votes for the candidate that hired them for the downticket races. Was publicized by the Dallas Observer, a left wing rag.

The same issue arose in the Arkansas Delta just a month ago.

Most vote fraud occurs at this level, or in the precincts where the precinct workers will punch out hundreds of ballots for a straight ticket punch (most famously publicized in the Florida Presidential election of 2000).

Happens all the time in multiple locations, and is one reason that True The Vote will have an impact in this election.

New Hampshire was more conservative and more Republican 30 years ago. Over time it became a bedroom community for commuters seeking to escape high taxes in Massachusetts. Unfortunately these migrants brought their politics with them.

That theory is popular, but demonstrably incorrect. If you look at the towns along the border of Mass during, say, the Benson/Lynch gubernatorial election, they were double-digit majorities for Republicans. People coming in from Mass are political refugees, not carpetbaggers.

Plus, by moving to NH and commuting to Mass, you don't decrease your taxes, you INCREASE them, because you're not only still paying MA income tax, but also the much higher NH property tax rates.

The real left-wing strongholds are in Concord, with the SEIU and other government-employee unions fighting for their goldbricking and featherbedding, and along the border of Vermont with hippie migrants.
