Obama using voter registration to stay close in NC [Media Agitation Engine Revs Up]

Dozens of volunteers armed with clipboards and voter registration forms gather at President Barack Obama's field office here every day. Their mission: Fan out across the city seeking new voters in this rapidly growing state.

"Are you registered to vote at your current address?" asks Douglas Johnston, a volunteer wooing voters outside the county courthouse. "Do you know about early voting?"

The effort, it seems, has borne fruit — to the tune of more than 250,000 new registered voters in North Carolina since April 2011, according to Obama's team. That's more new voters than the campaign has registered anywhere else in the country.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but this reads as pure Alinsky agitation propaganda to me.

Since 2011, we are supposed to believe Obamugabe has picked up 250,000 new cult members, yet just a few months ago the state rejected celebrating sodomy--a position Obamugabe holds--by a 2 to 1 margin.

Why aren’t republicans out there doing the same thing? Register more people being more into the party and get a stronger infrastructure.

“Why aren’t republicans out there doing the same thing? Register more people being more into the party and get a stronger infrastructure.”

Republican activists are doing this, but there's always room for improvement. One advantage the left has is that they have a fair number of ‘activists’ who do that full time (e.g. Acorn, the community organizer crowd, etc.). They don't have other jobs to go to. All that notwithstanding, I think Republicans are doing a pretty good job with this, as evidenced by the data showing that Republican registration and party affiliation is up.

NC Voter Registration Changes - set the dates from Nov 2008 to Sep 2012, and look at the change in Democrat voters, county by county. Overwhelmingly, the defections have been from the Democrats, and mostly to Unaffiliated.

They are. It is just the MSM is using the power of information warfare to demoralize the other side. Seems it is working to some extent, given you post. JoMa

got this on facebook yesterday. wonder if she is for real or what, if she is...
“... I will be up early to help in a proxy voting project that some of the president’s supporters from Chicago are working on. We go out and vote on place of people who can’t make it to vote on election day. We have lists and we just say we are that person. This is helpful because all Americans can have a say. Even if you are dead or a an undocumented citizen your voice will be heard.”

This early vote and extended vote crap has got to be stopped. It is a MAGNET for vote fraud.

Funny how there wasn't early voting or extended voting back in the time when people had to travel for miles on a horse, wagon, or even a Model T to vote. But somehow, in the age of the ObamaPhone, we need early voting? Bull.

Fellow conservatives: Please make sure your like-minded friends are registered. Each state has a registration web site. Registration info is in the public domain. Here are the links to NC and OH, as examples.

Ditto that. I predict Romney wins NC going away. 55-45, plus or minus a point.
