Obama, Romney To Break From Trail Ahead Of Debate

By David Nakamura September 28

President Obama travels to Henderson, Nev., on Sunday for a mission far more important than the usual swing state campaign rally: He will huddle privately with senior aides for an intensive three-day boot camp to prepare for the first presidential debate.

On Monday, Mitt Romney will do the same with his advisers in Denver, two days before the rivals take the stage at the University of Denver for a 90-minute faceoff focused on the economy.

Their willingness to nearly disappear from public view for 48 to 72 hours reflects the high stakes of the three October debates for both men, as Obama has assumed a small but clear lead in the polls with five weeks remaining in the race.

If 2008 is a guide, the nationally televised debates could reach audiences of up to 60 million viewers, by far the largest platform either nominee will have to reach voters. Both sides view the debates collectively as the event with the most potential to alter the dynamics of the race in the final month.

Republican strategists, fretting over Obama’s recent rise, said the debates could be the last best chance for Romney to deliver a decisive blow, change the narrative and steady his campaign. They said Romney would try to force the president out of his comfort zone by attacking Obama’s economic record, then hope the president blunders trying to defend it.

Wait a minute. Just YESTERDAY obama’s people said he’s so busy governing that he didn’t have time for debate prep.

Yes, we all know that was a laughably false statement.

Pray. Pray like today is June 5, 1944. This debate could be the pivotal day for the future of our Republic. I never thought I would say this, I never wanted to have to say this, but it is absolutely vital to our nation that Mitt Romney clearly win this debate. And to do it he must defeat 0bama AND the moderators AND the after-debate press.

Yes, pray for our country.

I can’t stand listening to soetoro for 10 seconds no less his droning on for an extended saga. It’s going to have to be transcripts.

“Doesn’t have time” is a misdirection meant to bolster the current mantra of being a very, very busy “Commander-in-Chief”.
In fact we don’t have to expect any traditional debating skills on display from Obama’s side: he doesn’t know how to debate, never did, is only good as giving speeches, and will ONLY continue putting out there the same exact LIES he and his surrogates have been using for the last year especially, as current needs require. They keep changing shape, and emphasis, as they try out new and improved images with which he can present himself. The lies we will hear have
“worked” so far, with all their made-up numbers, and counter-intuitive trashing-of-the-truth about his competence, so why should anything change now?
Problem is, his BS is believable to an ever-shrinking audience, regardless of what the polls indicate, and that truth will finally be revealed on election day.
