In Florida this afternoon, Vice President Joe Biden reminded them that thanks to President Obama, they could now get colonoscopies without a co-pay.
During his speech, Biden reminded the audience that some of their Republican friends would distort Obama’s record on Medicare.
“Everyone knows, everyone in this room knows that President Obama has increased the benefits available to people on Medicare by the action he took,” Biden said. “You are now able to go get a wellness exam, and guys, if you conclude you need a colonoscopy because of the feeling you had or you need a breast health examination, you don’t have to pay a co-pay for that.”

I don’t think free colonoscopies are going to be a great vote-getter.
On a similar subject ... Katie Colon was just named “Worst Reporter In The History of Man” by the Media Research Center - wonder if it had anything to do with her ‘on scene’ reporting during her ‘bend over’ claim to fame.
Back in the summer of 2010, I had to have a temporary Colostomy due to diverticulitis. Three months later, I had the reversal surgery. Before I had the reversal, I had to have a Colonoscopy to make sure that they could proceed with that surgery. My Gastroenterologist told me at that time, that he wanted to do another Colonoscopy a year after the reversal, to make sure everything was okay.
I had the 2nd Colonoscopy in January of this year. I actually had a Colonoscopy and Gastroscopy completed at the same time. As explained by my Gastroenterologist, most doctors won't do them together because they'll only be paid for one procedure by Medicare, etc. My doctor told me it was easier for him to do them together, and didn't really care about the money. Anyway, after the 2nd Colonoscopy this year, I received a bill for the cost of the Colonoscopy. When I called the hospital where I'd had the procedure done, they initially told me that Medicare will only pay for a Colonoscopy once every five years, unless it was a medical necessity. After I explained to her what had transpired, and why I had to have the second procedure earlier than necessary, the charges were reversed, but I still had a co-pay for them.
First Free food, then Free phones now free colonoscopies.
The bad part is that the doctor doing it will be GAY DOCTOR who got his degree at the Obama Medical Acadamy in CUBA!!
Two gaffes in one sentence by the gaffe artist himself:
(1) What does "colonoscopy" have to do with "guys"? Women get them as well! (Do you think Joe's knowledge of anatomy might be limited?)
(2) What kind of "feeling you had" might lead to a "wellness" colonoscopy? If the "feeling" is a symptom, the colonoscopy wouldn't be considered "wellness" anymore, but would be medically indicated - which probably means that you need a co-pay.
Memo to you folks with your hands out for government largesse: it may not be quite the same in the real world as the Democrat politicians tell you it is! And there's no such thing as a free lunch!

got the online copy of 2013 Medicare book today. It does offer quote FREE COLENOSCOPY end quote. However, if you have a growth removed, you must pay the 20% remainder of the bill after Medicare does its thing.
