Posted on 09/28/2012 3:56:03 PM PDT by GilGil
The current narrative that Ohioan Democratic voters are as enthusiastic about voting in 2012 as they were in 2008.

No doubt about it. But there's NOTHING out there that convinces me that Romney is beating Obama. Furthermore, at least 5% has to be figured in to cover for democrat voter fraud.
In past elections when, for example, the MSM had John Kerry way ahead of George W Bush, the man on the street would be inconsistent with the polling data which proved it wrong.
Today the man in the streets appears to be more consistent with the polling data we're seeing from the MSM (not 100% but much closer than it was in 2002, 2004 and 2010)
Mitt Romney and his supporters need to work harder. I'm far from impressed.
Is this your work getting noticed? :)
We will win a landslide without you. The numbers are obvious. Stay in your armchair and guzzle your beer. We can do it without you .
Freepers and Especially LS are forming this argument. These threads are getting noticed.
Great post...thanks so much.
I never doubted for a minute that we will win this one hands down in a landslide and kick that degenerate bitter spiteful community divider out of the WH. Never EVER.
Exactly. The “the polls are rigges” is utter crap. Not all polls even use Party ID and they say the SAME thing. Also, absentee ballot requests are not indicative of who may win. There is early voting in Ohio in person and loads in OH show up on election day.
Only a fool believes that every single polls is rigged. in fact, even Rasmussen says that. He too claims it a fools errand.
But, hey. See ya after Election Day when we can pick up the pieces, get rid of the idiots and march Conservatism to 2016.
Why is Romney behind so badly? Because as Santorum said . . .”he is the worst possible candidate the GOP can send against Obama”. This poll nonsense is to ensure that GOPers show up and vote so they don’t lose the House.
This has the smell of a monster blow out. There will be two kinds here. Those Freepers who know how to fight and those who keep giving every reason to lose. Right now the Freepers giving us every reason to lose are being left behind and we are watching them from the rear view mirror.
You are determined to lose one way or the other. We can do it without you. Stay home.
Rasmussen has the race tied or one point difference, with leaners 48-48. Sounds like a close race to me.
the bama is in trouble all over the country and even in the bluest of the blue north east! He ain’t gotta chance ever. But the biggest question is what are we going to do w/ the scurrilous subterfuge media that is subverting our elections in this ugly way? Something must be done to them . . . uhmm, “after the elections” of course!
Regardless, we should work and fight as though we are behind and a single vote may make the difference.
Why anyone goes ga-ga over partial early voting numbers in Ohio which still show Bonzo WINNING and Romney LOSING is beyond me too.
So the numbers aren’t quite as terrible in Ohio as they were in ‘08. Whoopee. What sort of drugs does it take to suddenly leap from that to “ZOMG! Romney will win in a Reaganesque landslide!!”
2008 Popular vote: Obama 2,940,044/McCain 2,677,820
2008 Percentage: 51.5% / 46.9%
It is already being done to them. The network news viewership is now less than Drudge. In other words, the network news viewership combined is less than Drudge at 37 million per day. Ten years ago the networks were at 10 million each and above. The networks are losing so much viewership because no one believes them. I think Raz just did a poll where 60% of the people do not believe what comes out of the MSM. That is confirmation that the MSM is gasping into oblivion.
How much is SEIU paying you to come here and post crap?
Every single time there is something about the polls here you are with your BS saying how it’s all over. Sit home and don’t vote, we don’t need your stinkin vote, or just go vote for Obama, we ALL know you want to
But what I've done is to show county data on how vast the change is percentage wise over 2008.
Here is something to think about. 660,000 votes separated McCain from winning against Obama. In other words, the vote for Obama in 2008 was very, very close. He did not win by that much,
As both a conservative and mathematician, I like this news :-).
When the trolls are out in force you know we are winning. this is becoming so obvious.
I’m actually one who believes early voting can help republicans. I always vote weeks before the election because if I do not my job may not permit me to vote at all. If I’m working I cannot vote. I happen to believe that there are many working people out there (well, under normal economic situations) who would vote for the pro-business candidate if they had the time.
But I do know that early voting can also increase the chances of democrat voter fraud. Voter fraud can and does happen in places where you cannot vote early. We need to separate the two issues and punish voter fraud to the max.
Voting is a right. When a democrat (or anybody) votes more than once they are disenfranchising somebody else’s right to vote.
NO you won't. We are at the tipping point. See the chart. By 2016 things will be so far gone fiscally there will be no coming back. Romney is our last shot. If we don't turn it now there is no turning it. So WAKE UP, your sort of pathetic sour grapes just may destroy the USA. Sorry your candidate of choice did not get the GOP nomination. Get over it.
If getting rid of the idiots means getting rid of you, I’m all for it.
I like our numbers in Ohio.
Time to start breaking down Florida, Virginia, Wisconsin, & Iowa.
I would like to think we find the same things.
Oh I know that guy is a troll. I can spot a troll right away, there were paid trolls in 2008 too. I talked to someone online about how they are paid 10 bucks an online to go on Conservative forums and say how the election is over, all is lost, you have no chance of winning. They are VERY easy to spot, especially this particular one..Every poll that comes out here he is with his spin on it. I dont give a damn if Romney is down 70 points I will drag my ass to the voting place here in LA and vote for him..If I can get my fanny to go vote even in Liberal Los Angeles everyone else can
Yes he’s a drive-by troll. He has even lied about having Romney’s internal poll numbers. He never answers replies so we can’t engage him. He’s been saying since he got here that we’re going to be “slaughtered”
No doubt. Totally agree. I hope the MSM continues along this lying. The democrats might get so over confident that many won’t show up to vote. At the same time, we can outflank them with our overwhelming numbers and win before they realize what happened.
Do you really need to name-call your fellow patriots who've decided to maintain their personal honor and integrity in this election?
We holdouts want Obama gone as badly as any of you, but not at the expense of throwing in with a man who represents everything we've been fighting against for most of our lives. Don't you get it?
I'm not down on you for doing what you think you must. I know that someone's got to vote for the liberal from Massachusetts, if we want to beat Obama. Do what you've got to do. I won't run you down for it.
As much as I despise Mutt Romney, I'm heartened to hear this news out of Ohio. I've thought from the beginning that the Republican challenger was going to win anyway - no matter who we picked. I just hope that Romney grasps the fact that he can't play politics as usual when he gets to the White House. Those days are gone. We've got a country to save - and not a moment too soon.
Just heard Hugh Hewitt and he said Florida was in the bag. Methinks we may be in the makings of a Reagan landslide.
That may be true of you but not the poster she is replying to.
Sorry Windflier, I thought you were referring to her post to RIwardHo.
Oh, I believe the MSM polls are indeed rigged. They always are. If they were not this year it would be out of the ordinary.
But to say that because they are rigged Romney’s way ahead and is actually beating Obama - I have not seen anything that convinces me of that.
I heard on the radio today (and Hannity conceded this as well today) that Obama is 3% to 5% ahead of Romney. Add in voter fraud and that puts him at least 8% ahead of Romney right now.
If we run around claiming that Romney’s beating Obama when he’s not, there are ABO voters out there who do not feel the urgent need to send Romney money or even get involved going door to door or making phone calls. I mean, if all is fine and dandy, why make any changes?
If we do not realize this, we will feel no need to make any changes.
I know the polls are skewed but the difference is that the people I meet in my daily life are more consistent with these polls (unlike 2002, 2004, 2010). We all have our internal polls. Mine’s telling me I should not be impressed with Romney’s performance.
He should be 12% - 15% ahead of Obama right now.
The assumptions here are that registered Dems request ballots and will return them to vote Dem. Registered Reps request ballots and return them to vote Rep. Some people can request ballots and not return them. Also, in 2008, Reps requested ballots and voted Dem, so some caution is necessary as it’s still early.
Still, so far, with all the caveats, this is the only voting HARD EVIDENCE so far that Dems are not enthused about voting and Reps are very enthused. Dem ballot requests are way less than they were in 2008 (by county) and Rep ballots are way more. If this trend continues, and it has been, the idea of D+7 polls or more are garbage.
Voting is a right. When a democrat (or anybody) votes more than once they are disenfranchising somebody elses right to vote.
Amen to that.
It's good that Rat enthusiasm is apparently down a bit in places like Cleveland, and after the past four years Republican enthusiasm should be off the charts everywhere even with Mitt as the nominee. But to extrapolate from some fragementary figures of dubious value to a Reagan-esque 60+ percent vote for Mitt is beyond delusional.
“Do you really need to name-call your fellow patriots who’ve decided to maintain their personal honor and integrity in this election?”
Anyone that does anything to help re-elect Obama is no patriot, and has no honor and integrity.
It’s alright, Rep. I’ve made the same mistake. Thanks.
Your thinking is warped. If you do not do everything you can to get Romney elected all your wasted energy and hand wringing about whether Romney will do what he said he would is just that wasted energy.
Focus on getting Romney elected first. Once that is done getting him to deliver will be a different effort. No one cares right now about whether Romney is a closet liberal etc. because that is all we have to work with. We have to get him in first otherwise all else does not matter. and if you do not agree no problem. We will get there without you.
Praying it’s true! And the msm can shove it! I will be going yo the polls Nov 6th no matter what the polls say!
And anecdotal "evidence" means ever so much: Ooooh, ooooh, there's 2 Romney signs in my neighborhood and only one Obama sign! That means Mitt's going to get 66% of the vote nationwide!!! :-)
Yes, but even LS states that those absentee ballots are “REQUESTS” only! It’s another matter if those AB are mailed in. SO PLEASE if you requested one, please mail at the appropriated time!! God bless and on to victory! OBTW, don’t forget today was the kick off for the 40 days of fasting and prayer for our country and the election, Sept 28-Nov 6!
Remember the 2010 article about the Obama White House hiring bloggers and posters to troll the social media websites and political forums ans spread Obama propaganda?
I tried searching the article on google in the last few months. I have not been able to find it. Is it just one of the many articles this administration has forced off the internet?
Then again you could be totally wrong and not know it.
Stop being knee-jerk about this. You've been here long enough to know that Romney was once persona non grata at FR. There's no possible way that you missed Jim Rob's hundreds of anti-Romney postings, so don't act like I and others who feel as I do, have suddenly gone enemy.
It's been long established here that some of us simply will not cross the line into voting for someone who's demonstrated throughout their political career that they're patently liberal.
Get over it. It is what it is. I suggest you talk to people who share Romney's ideals, if you want to win him more votes. I'm lost to him.
