ST. LOUIS A St. Louis teen who authorities say is a member of a gang called the "Obama Boyz" has been charged with two shootings on Saturday.
Anthony Jamal Lee, 18, fired at a group of people from the window of a Grand Prix at 2:17 p.m., according to charges. A 13-year-old boy was struck in the side of his body and had to be hospitalized; a 17-year-old boy was grazed by bullets on his face and arm.

You can’t make this stuff up
Doesn’t anyone remember the “Bush Boyz”, who used to do
the same exact things? (sarc)
Seriously, I knew that when I began to hear swaggering young
Black men calling up Hannity on talk radio, about a year into Obama’s Presidency, and talking about
“my boy Barack”, that this kind of thing was inevitable.
Obama’s polarizing nature, and his cool “I can get away with anything” persona does have its effect.
And it ain’t good, ain’t good at all.
In this case, he serves as inspiration for outright homicidal
criminality. I know a member of the St. Louis PD, and I will be there about 2 weeks from now-—I intend to ask him about this.
If Obama had a son, he would look like Anthony Jamal.
Pissed at the world. It’s the world’s fault.
“Authorities said Lee is a documented member of the “Obama Boyz” gang, but did not elaborate.”
OBVIOUSLY these are a group of Irish toughs - O’Bama Boyz.
Can you imagine if there was some white gang out there calling themselves....well, it’s hard to think of anyone they might name themselves after, let’s say a gang of Italian kids in NYC calling themselves the Giuliani Boys.
It would be front page news FOR WEEKS.
Somebody would make a movie, a play, a musical about it.
Giuliani and every other Republican and Italian and White person in NYC and AMERICA would be castigated for the actions of this gang.
Would that be right? No.
But it would happen.
Ping for future use.
If Obama had a son he’d look like....
You really can't make this stuff up. It's like the negative, evil mirror image of wholesome, family entertainment.
Yoots of hazard in their Grand Prix... not the same as the Dukes of Hazzard in the General Lee!
(Can you imagine the Boyz' equivalent of cousin Daisy? No, no, no... don't go there.)
” Yoots of hazard in their Grand Prix... not the same as the Dukes of Hazzard in the General Lee!
(Can you imagine the Boyz’ equivalent of cousin Daisy? No, no, no... don’t go there.)”
LOL! Nothing like a great laugh to get ya going in the morning!
Sorry, too late. You really did ask for it: Baby Got Back
(Oh. My. God. Becky, look at her butt, it's sooo big.)
LOL, this song's always cracked me up
If they crossed paths with the Van Buren Boys, it could get really ugly.
The area where this shooting took place, Walnut Park, is in the top three areas for homicides and shootings. It’s Blood territory, with the dominant gang being the 4 -9 Bloods, for the 4900 block of Beacon, Alcott and Davidson streets.
Every April 9th, they have a community get together, and the SLMPD guys are out in force just to keep the rival Crip gang over on Geraldine Street from coming by and shooting it up.
It is a bad, bad neighborhood and just like most of north St. Louis, used to be predominately white German folk.
"Behold, I am against you, O arrogant one," Declares the Lord GOD of hosts, "For your day has come, The time when I will punish you.
32 "The arrogant one will stumble and fall With no one to raise him up; And I will set fire to his cities And it will devour all his environs."
Hope and Change in River City.
Was it Constitution Day who used to provide us the Latin version of that?
“Observe, Rebecca, the astounding callipygian rotundities of the Ethiopian damsel!” or something like that ...
I had the biggest crush on Luke Duke when I was 12-ish.
I always got a kick out of that song too, even though it’s very fresh.
But I always like songs that just lay it on the line, no flowery stuff. “I like big b*tts and I cannot lie”, that’s the way to tell it like it is!
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...
That he would, that he would and have a PhD.
Wow, you have an excellent memory, T-c. It certainly was me who posted that, 9 years ago (!) this month.
I loved some of the responses on that thread...classic.
I dread the day the ol’ brain starts to freeze up, and I won’t remember my house number, but I’ll remember “Baby Got Back” in Latin.
I’m sure that I will too. That’s a sobering thought!
My father has Alzheimer’s Disease, and it’s getting to where he doesn’t even recognize Mom, except as “that familiar household person,” but he was symptomatic for more than 10 years before now, and very spotty with his memory. One thing he remembered was how he got a bicycle after World War 2; he was 10 in 1946.
You had to put down a deposit at a store to get on a list to get a bicycle. His family could only afford one deposit, so they put it at the store in the county seat. Another boy, “Claud Junior Otto” - “Junior” was his legal middle name, and his father had a speech defect and called him “Quad” - had a rich father, and they put down deposits in all the towns around Shelby County (Missouri).
Well, Quad got one of the first bicycles that came out, and it was six months or so before Dad got his ... but Dad’s was a SCHWINN, and it was better than Quad Junior’s! Dad remembered sixty years later, when I read something from my great-aunt’s diary about his riding a bike with his cousin, that he had a BETTER bike than Quad Junior!
Later, Dad worked for Old Farmer Otto, and one day Mr. Otto decided he wanted a new car. He had Dad take him to the GM dealership in Edina, and picked out a car he liked. “I’m going to give the Model T. to Quad!” When the dealer asked him about financing, he said, “By Dawe! (old German farmers don’t take the name of the Lord in vain) I will pay!” and he took cash out of his overalls pocket and paid around $2,000 for the new GM car. This would have been in the early 50s ;-).
