"Among registered voters"

Which made it a worthless poll, both then and now.

This would be an excellent opportunity to take down the biased polling outfits.
Why in the world were there 52 polls released last week? Obviously, many firms that have gone belly-up during the Obama Depression are now trying to make a living doing polls. You can make up any number, get someone to publish it and there is no accountability.

Thank God Al Gore never became POTUS.

That’s only one poll from back then and Newsweek has always been garbage...the absolute worst in 2008. What these current polls show is what will happen if the Right is not as motivated as it should be. Or, America is no longer about individualism, rather safety nets.

Why in the world were there 52 polls released last week? Maybe to influence early voting that also started last week? You think? :)

No different than reporting FL results before the panhandle had voted, they are doing their best for the Dem. It is no coincidence that the Dem sample increased 10 days ago to show a Zero lead just as early voting started.

At one time the Press was respected, now you can't even believe the Comic Strip. It is hard to believe that the Newspapers deliberately distort the news, but the all do.

The purpose of these phony polls is not only to discourage Romney voters but to influence the sizable portion of the population who are ignorant about politics but want to vote for the “winner.”

Let us remind ourself that at that time (2000), Newsweek was owned by none other than the WASHINGTON (COM)POST.

The financial results for 2009 as reported by The Washington Post Company showed that advertising revenue for Newsweek was down 37% in 2009 and the magazine division reported an operating loss for 2009 of $29.3 million compared to a loss of $16 million in 2008.

The magazine was sold to audio pioneer Sidney Harman on August 2, 2010, for $1 in exchange for assuming the magazine’s financial liabilities.

Newsweek has since merged with THE DAILY BEAST.

"Why in the world were there 52 polls released last week?"

Could it be so that if a taller, more handsome, more articulate Romney trounces an emaciated, big eared, stumbling Obama in the debates, and the polling shifts the other way, the MSM can then claim it's because we're all racists, and not because Zero is an incompetent doofus?

The downside is some may not go to the polls thinking they have it in the bag. Let it poll let it poll let it poll!

George smiled and winked at a lady seated nearby in the audience, and had a discernible twinkle in his eye, but with the camera angle it looked like he was smiling and winking at America out there, when Gore tried to pull his stunt. Priceless moment. You’re entitled to your opinion that momma’s later comment did it, but appears to me it was his own reaction that ruled the day.

Judging from this Romney could pull off a 12% victory IMO.

I even think a landslide is still very possible if one large foreign policy disaster strikes in the next few weeks.
