My weekend column muses on the glorious future foreseen by Obamas speech to the General Assembly. But Ive also been struck by the following passage on the late Chris Stevens, mysteriously asphyxiated by a spontaneous class-action movie review, as every government official from the Commander-in-Chief to his UN Ambassador has so persuasively argued. At Turtle Bay, the President paid tribute to his murdered diplomat thus:
Chris went to Benghazi in the early days of the Libyan revolution, arriving on a cargo ship. As Americas representative, he helped the Libyan people as they coped with violent conflict, cared for the wounded, and crafted a vision for the future in which the rights of all Libyans would be respected.
And after the revolution, he supported the birth of a new democracy, as Libyans held elections, and built new institutions, and began to move forward after decades of dictatorship.
Chris Stevens loved his work. He took pride in the country he served, and he saw dignity in the people that he met.
Two weeks ago, he traveled to Benghazi to review plans to establish a new cultural center
What does that phrase the country he served mean? The country Ambassador Stevens was supposed to be serving was the United States, just as Libyan diplomats in Washington are supposed to serve the national interest of Libya. Yet in the context of his surrounding remarks (which are all about the place he was posted to: Chris crafted a vision for the future, supported the birth of a new democracy, etc) the President appears to give the impression that he thinks the country he served was Libya.
This would seem to be a failure, at the very top, of the old George Schultz test. Im open to persuasion that the country he served is in fact a reference to America, but, if not, its a revealing glimpse of how deep the delusions of transnationalist do-goodery have seeped into the body politic. The United States is not the worlds biggest non-profit NGO. It is a nation state with national interests whose ambassadors and plenipotentiaries are paid by US taxpayers to advance those interests. China understands that, Russia understands that, so does France. Washingtons reluctance to grasp that basic point explains much from those embarrassing Tweets by that buffoon in the Cairo embassy to its inability to win wars against goatherds armed with string and fertilizer.
Every other country has the right to control its borders, only America is racist if it tries.
Every other country has diplomats who are supposed to serve the country that sends them out. Only American diplomats are supposed to serve the country to which they are sent.
Other countries can take pride in their past accomplishments, even when those accomplishments are primarily periods of bloody genocidal conquest. Only America must forever bow its head in shame because it has not always lived up to the 21st century "progressive" version of its ideals.
Other examples are multitudinous.
Which begs the question: what country does Obama serve?
If the president told me to board a cargo ship to go to some shi**yhole country like Lybia, I would be real suspicious. I wonder if his own family is as goosebumpy as Obama is about his lovely life-giving project?
He serves no country; he serves the barbarians on the other end of his BlackBerry.
Consider how much he has done to advance fundamental Islam at America's expense (literally).
That says it all.

Years back when Obama was on ABC-TV with George Steffi -
Obama said:
“My Muslim faith.....”
- and George quickly “corrected” Obama to “Christian faith”
Early in Chicago Obama was told that he would never go anywhere in politics if he did not self-identify himself as a Christian
Obama has commented many times over the years that he does not fully agree with Christian beliefs
He does not celebrate Christmas or birthdays for his two daughters - except now for the TV cameras after criticism started
If you were to mistake your own religion on a nationwide network TV interview -
Would you say:
“My Hindu faith....”
“My Buddist faith....”
“My Jewish faith....”
- I did not think so -
Obama is a mindless fool without his teleprompters and his scripts!

One of my grandfathers came from PEI in 1892
Other dates are:
1620 (on the Ship & on the Shore too!)
1000 (Great White North)
.
PEI is a wonderful place in the 21st century. There is a causeway to the mainland now. In the 19th century, I imagine the winters on the island were brutal.
.
Mic Macs on PEI?
Many Scots on PEI with completely identical names
I attempted to trace before about 1845 but the numbers of names swamped me
Between 1845 and Castle Dunvegan (Norwegion Viking “Leod the Black” married a Danish knight’s daughter) on the Isle of Skye I am completely lost
- The “brisk” weather on PEI and Scotland do not sound inviting this time of year

- U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (Sept 12, 2012)
When I was in the first period when I was secretary of state, there was in my office a big globe. And when ambassadors, who were newly going to their posts or in their posts and coming back to visit me, would get ready to leave, I would say to them, Ambassador, you have one more test before you can go to your post. You have to go over to the globe and prove to me that you can identify your country. So unerringly, they would go over and theyd spin the globe around and theyd put their finger on the country they were going to, pass the test. So Mike Mansfield, great elder statesman in America, former Senate majority leader and who had been ambassador to Japan for a while before I was there, and he was a close friend of mine from back when I was in the Nixon administration so he was visiting and he got ready to leave. I said, Mike, I got to give you the same test I give everybody else. Before you can go back to Japan, you got to show me that you can go over to the globe and put your finger on your country. So he went over and he spun this globe around and he put his hand on the United States, said, Thats my country. So Ive told that, subsequently, to all the ambassadors going out, Never forget, youre over there in that country, but your country is the United States. Youre there to represent us. Take care of our interests and never forget it, and youre representing the best country in the world.

Hillary as SoS had to sign-off on the Brit security outfit she contracted with to hire Libyans as security
The buildings in Libya did not meet the construction and security specs as required by US laws.....
- and Blackwater was “somehow blocked” from getting a contract
But - only four (4) Americans were killed
Only one (1) US Ambassador
Two (2) Navy Seal(s)
Just four (4) “bumps in the road”
- As Obama said after 1/11/12:
“They knew what they signed up for!”
- Whatta guy!
.
Sickening, isn’t it. Hillary is like the witch in Snow White. She gives America the poisoned apple and causes some to sleep while she goes about doing evil.
.
- Yup -
.....and do not forget - Obama said he wanted all American combat military troops be required by law to pay for their medical insurance coverage - to cover their combat injuries
This from a cowardly jerk that cried and wimpered when he skinned his knee playing basketball in HS in Hawaii - (the words of his HS teammates)
.
This may be slightly off topic, but I have a question for you: has anyone heard anything at all about an autopsy that should have been performed on our ambassador’s body when he was returned to the States? Why do lingering questions about the two-time rape still permeate the Arabic press? Surely, these questions could be satisfied with an exhaustive and thorough forensic autopsy? hmmm.........
No doubt true, but not a particularly good criticism of SoS.
It's not like she had the option of putting up a building that did meet specs in 24 hours.
The options were months (at minimum) without representation or making do with what was available while better facilities were built.
Thus, Obama's justification for end-running Congress when initiating the war in Libya.
National Security be damned. The dictator-in-Chief needs to run our military ragged for "humanitarian" purposes...who cares what the people's reps think?
