POLL: PRESIDENTIAL RACE TIGHT IN PENNSYLVANIA
WorldNetDaily ^ | 09/29/2012

Two percentage points separate President Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney in a state poll conducted for the Tribune-Review, even though the campaigns largely are ignoring Pennsylvania and concentrating on other battlegrounds.

Obama polled 47 percent to Romney’s 45 percent among likely Pennsylvania voters, with 6 percent of voters undecided and 44 days until Election Day, according to the survey by Susquehanna Polling & Research. The survey of 800 voters, conducted Sept. 18-20, has a margin of error of 3.46 percentage points.

The poll showed most voters are disappointed with the country’s direction, evenly split on whether Obama deserves another term and hesitant to back Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts. Fifty-one percent of the state’s voters approve of Obama’s job performance.

Fifty-one percent of the state's voters obviously are ignorant to reality! What performance???? The guy is a narcissistic loser and has accomplished nearly nothing positive!

I hear that the Dem Machine out in Allegheny County took a beating. Philly is Philly, but in the suburbs enthusiasm is definitely dropped. I don’t see many yard signs for either candidate.

2008 signs were everywhere, even some people I knew that went Bush for 2004 had Obama signs. I definitely think things are a lot better this time around.

BS. Polls are NOT “tightening”. They just need to start being more honest. In the PA suburbs of Philly, I see lots of R signs, no D signs, even though my neighborhood went D in 2008.

Yup!...happens every time....The 2010 Republican sweep was a good example... polls weren’t even close to predicting the sweep till a few days before the election...and then they called most dead heats... (someone at FR had a chart of polls going back several years....When a (D) won it was always by less then predicted.....When a (R) won it was always by more then predicted....usually within the margin of error

From everything I hear here in SWPA, the distrust and dislike for obama is palpable. Even the union guys around here can’t stand him.
WE CAN DO THIS!!!

I'm in upstate NY and I don't mean to hijack the thread but I'm seeing no — maybe one or two old ones— Obama bumper stickers. Romney's not going to win NY but I get complemented on my Romney sticker all of the time. By this time last election there were Obama yard signs and bumper stickers all over the place.

RE: plus Catholic vote

I’m just curious... what makes people think that Catholics are overwhelmingly for Romney this time?

Never mind, I see it’s from Ogemaw County. But whereon earth is that and is it reflective of the trend in the state?
