Fast and Furious back in headlines as Univision reportedly finds more victims
The Daily Caller ^ | 9/29/12 | Matthew Boyle

Spanish-language television network Univision plans to air a television special that it said reveals more violence than previously known, as well as the stories of how many more Operation Fast and Furious victims were killed, the network announced in a Friday release.

“The consequences of the controversial ‘Fast and Furious’ undercover operation put in place by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in 2009 have been deadlier than what has been made public to date,” the network said. “The exclusive, in-depth investigation by Univision News’ award-winning Investigative Unit — Univision Investiga — has found that the guns that crossed the border as part of Operation Fast and Furious caused dozens of deaths inside Mexico.”

Among other groups of Fast and Furious victim stories Univision says it will tell in the special to air Sunday evening at 7 p.m., is one about how “16 young people attending a party in a residential area of Ciudad Juárez in January of 2010″ were gunned down with weapons the Obama administration gave to drug cartel criminals through Fast and Furious.

“Univision News’ Investigative Unit was also able to identify additional guns that escaped the control of ATF agents and were used in different types of crimes throughout Mexico,” the network added. “Furthermore, some of these guns — none of which were reported by congressional investigators — were put in the hands of drug traffickers in Honduras, Puerto Rico, and Colombia. A person familiar with the recent congressional hearings called Univision’s findings ‘the holy grail’ that Congress had been searching for.”

Is it possible that “Univision” has begun to see the real world and realize that it isn’t conservatives who are killing Hispanics throughout Mexico and the borderlands of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

It is partially the actions of the Obama regime, the Attorney General, the ATF, and ICE.

If this news story is an honest piece of journalism, then kudos to Univision for doing its job, reporting the news accurately and objectively.

Holy crap. I wonder how much it's gonna cost taxpayers for Obama to buy back the Latino vote once they get the full impact of this little gem.

How bizarre. A network actually engaging in investigative journalism, and daring to ask President Obama some tough questions... Unlike the MSM networks who just function as the Democrats free Propaganda Arm, and as President Obama's Praetorian Guard...

Good for you! I wish I could get it, but looking forward to the aftermath if it is as good as they say.
If Latinos finally begin to understand that their lives meant absolutely NOTHING to this administration except to promote an agenda, we might see a shift and maybe even some real anger. Depends on how they report it.

I wish I would have paid better attention in Spanish class back in HS, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get the full effect of the report reading sub-titles.

Please excuse my ignorance on the matter, but is Univision a big deal to Latinos living here? Will it reach a large portion of the population or is it a low rating channel?

From the few news clips and the program that was on when I tuned in, it seems to be a rather high-budget and well done channel. Of course, I have no idea what anyone was saying, I'm basing my opinion on the fact is was in HD and the news sets looked very modern. (and not to mention that the news babes were good looking) :~)

If it hurts Barry, I’m all for it. Our MSM sure doesn’t report in an honest manner.

But it won’t surprise me at all if this is Mexico’s attempt to blame their ills on the US.

I hope someone reports back...I don’t have Univision.

Univision is a Spanish-language television network in the United States. It has the largest audience of Spanish-language television viewers according to Nielsen ratings. Randy Falco, (CEO as of June 29, 2011) COO, has been in charge of the company since the departure of Univision Communications president and CEO Joe Uva in April 2010.[1] In recent years the network has reached parity with the U.S.'s five major English-language television networks, and is often a strong fifth, outranking The CW, with some fourth-place weekly placings, and as of 2012, even first place rankings for individual programs over all five English networks due to the network's consistent schedule of new telenovelas all 52 weeks of the year.

I suspect half of the ratings come from male gringos having impure thoughts while watching the weather report.

Correct. The problem is that Holder, the DoJ, & ATF put them directly into the hands of criminals. There was nothing “random” about it. If I understand correctly, even when the weapons were purchased at gun shops, it was pre-arranged, to some extent. The shop owners were instructed to sell the guns, under duress.
What they’re trying to establish is that the orders to put guns into the hands of (specifically) criminals/ drug cartels came from Holder/ the DoJ. The sensational violence that was *intended* to come from the operation would be the rationale to tighten gun control.

Huge deal. Big, big, big. They have a huge presence in the spanish-speaking community.

And should you wonder “Why Univision?” - I believe the answer is that they are not owned by one of the conglomerates that own most all other media in the US. Most of the private-sector media in the US is owned by only six companies.

And yes, their female staff are seriously easy on the eyes.

Their studios/production is run out of Florida, I believe.

Good thing they were all orphans with no relatives?

Might explain why Stinky only gives them plastic sporks to eat with in his presence!
