I think most fair minded observers would conclude that we are far, far past the "threatening" stage, if there ever was one. The media is now fully immersed in aiding and abetting the overthrow of both the constitutional republic and capitalism.
And they are actively working to implement a dictatorial, ultra-left, socialist government and economic system on the country.
The mask is off - they no longer even bother to pretend they are unbiased reporters of factual news.
They have become Obama cheerleaders and a fully owned subsidiary of the democrat party and proud of it.

I would not disagree with anything you have stated. It can be argued that they are committing treason against our U.S. Constitution.
If I was writing a story on how this would play out with our Founders fighting back, it would include many many trials for high treason. Those found guilty would receive the maximum penalty imposed in short order.
We are truly witnessing our Republic being destroyed from within. For the life of me, I can't see any way back to Liberty except through a total collapse. Then we have to hope actions unfold to restore a Constitutional Republic.
In the next few years we will be witness to history the likes not see in our Republic for over 150 years, if not 236 years.

Because Putin had a problem with the press, and after a couple of his most vocal critics started pushing up daisies, the propagandists trying to undermine his government got the message very quickly and started thinking twice before filing their reports.
