Egypt’s new leader Mohamed Morsi is proving to be a cunning communicator, at least so far as what he puts across to undiscerning Western ears. He manages to sound exceedingly moderate and reasonable, while enunciating unreasonable, indeed radical demands that must be met or else. He in effect says that “it’s my way or the highway.”
Thus, while seeming to affirm his commitment to the 33-year-old peace with Israel, Morsi at the same time piles up impediments upon which he now makes that peace contingent.
The inescapable inference is that if his conditions are not accepted, he would consider himself absolved of his obligation to keep the peace.
Add to that the fact that his stipulations are all but impossible to accede to and a whole other picture emerges than that which is commonly perceived overseas.
Two examples are particularly disturbing. The first is the strident suggestion from Cairo that it is essential that the 1979 Camp David peace treaty with Israel be amended. What Morsi wants is abrogation of the clauses that demilitarize Sinai and prohibit Egyptian army presence there.
Morsi would rather his foreign audiences forget that Israel gave up Sinai and that its one tangible gain from its great concession was the safety of demilitarization that created a sizable buffer zone. Thus Israel was assured that it could not be surprised by a sudden attack from Egypt. No military entry into Sinai could go undetected.

By creating an issue in the Sinai..by sending in Egyptian troops, Morsi is helping ou the Iranians...would Israel launch the strike on Iran if she faced war with Israel? The Caliphate is starting to take shape

This is obviously NOT news to the Israelis who have moved troops to face the border of Egypt. They have already intercepted on attack on their positions and are prepared to defend against more.
Morsi is frustrated because the Jews won’t cower and give him what he wants. He can lie or pontificate as much as he desires, the moment Mubarek fell, the Jews knew what the end result would be.
Nachum, I have much respect for you and your love of Israel (I too love Israel), but this statement is inaccurate.
The truth is not that the Jews knew what the end would be (of Isreal). Not all Jews love Israel.
America is filled with Jews who love Obama...and do not see how he plans to destroy Israel. And believe me, they will be the first in the box cars after he gains full control...and the Christians will be in the next series of box cars...

Adul Gheit said he had a one-on-one meeting with Obama, where the US President told him that He was still a Muslim, the son of a Muslim father, the step son of Muslim stepfather, that his half brothers in Kenya are Muslims, and that he was sympathetic towards the Muslim agenda.
Adul Gheit claimed Obama told the Arabs to show patience. Obama promised that once he overcame some domestic issues, like the Health care reform, he would show the Muslim World how to deal with Israel.

My apologies- I should have been clearer. The Jews who live in Israel and have to fight to defend themselves knew. They knew it well. The rockets and bullets the terrorists fire do not discriminate between liberal or conservative, religious or secular.

That said, the election in Nov is an existential event for Israel and the entire Judeo/Christian world (yes, to the uninitiated...America is America because of Judaism).
It is Moses' faith, even Noah's, on which America is founded.
Obama knows this viscerally--religiously--and seeks to destroy it.

I just wish more Americans understood there are vast differences in the morals and ethics of the eastern civilization compared to the western civilization....
