Poll finds most think Obama will win first debate

By Stephen Dinan and Ben Wolfgang

DENVER — Mitt Romney has one thing going for him headed into this week’s first presidential debate with President Obama: Voters don’t expect him to do very well.

The newest Washington Times/Zogby Poll, released Sunday, found twice as many voters think Mr. Obama will win Wednesday’s kickoff affair as think Mr. Romney will win it — and among self-identified independents, it’s even more pronounced.

Actually, that is a good thing. The lower expectations for Romney, the better. He may surprise a few people since people incorrectly think Obama is so stunning as a speaker. I have always found Obama very average as a speaker. I have never understood why people think he is a good speaker.

Some lessons:

1) We have really dumb set of "most voters" who do not consider the respective histories of the candidates, and apparently are unaware of Willard's prodigious debating skills;

2) The Democrat brainwashing complex must take some time to become effectual with "most voters": "most voters" expect a poor performance from Willard as they have not yet heard their thought marching orders from the DNC. It needs to be repeated several times before "most voters" get it.

` The internals of this poll identifying "most voters" would intrigue me.

I agree with this 100%!

This is probably the most useless poll to date.

I’m new here, but I was motivated to register a few days ago when someone declared that we would see headlines the day after the first debate such as “Romney Swings and Misses” and “President Obama Keeps His Cool As Romney Continues to Struggle”... Yes, probably already written and set aside.

Fortunately, I saw something today that made me realize that Obama probably cannot win this election without using every dirty, rotten trick in the book. Enthusiam for Mitt Romney at a major non-partisan event in Hudson County here in New Jersey. Romney probably will not win here, but if the enthusiasm is this big for him here he should be able to coast to a big win in many other parts of the county. Nothing anyone says to me at this point will change my mind about this.

According to the media, it seems 800 poll participants in Ohio will decide the entire election, starting with their prediction of the first debate.

Know why I won’t be watching? Because Obama makes me violently sick. Whenever I see an advertisement of his interrupt a football game, I change the channel immediately. I can’t stand this pathetic, marxist, sham of a human being masquerading as President, undermining our individual liberties and pissing on our Constitution every chance he gets. I know who I’m voting for and it’s called anyone that can beat this loser and send him packing in November. So, I will find something else to do rather than listen to this anti-American ass spew lies from his piehole for two hours. The mere site of his face disgusts me beyond belief.
