Posted on 09/30/2012 11:52:49 PM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife
.................Ryan now becomes the 131st House GOP member to demand Holders resignation over the scandal.
Fast and Furious was a program of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, overseen by Holders Department of Justice. It sent thousands of weapons to Mexican drug cartels via straw purchasers people who purchased guns in the United States with the known intention of illegally trafficking them somewhere else.
Fast and Furious guns were used to kill U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry on Dec. 14, 2010, in Peck Canyon, Ariz.
Others whose murders have been connected to Fast and Furious weapons include Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent Jaime Zapata and Mexican citizen Mario Gonzalez. Gonzalezs sister, Patricia Gonzalez, was the state prosecutor for the Mexican state of Chihuahua.
The Spanish-language television network Univision has discovered information suggesting that more people were murdered with Fast and Furious weapons, including those it decsribed as 16 young people attending a party in a residential area of Ciudad Juárez in January of 2010. Mexican government officials have estimated that at least 300 people in Mexico were killed with Fast and Furious weapons.
The Spanish-language television network has pressed the Obama administration on Fast and Furious, most recently with Univision anchor Jorge Ramos grilling Obama in an interview over the scandal and asking him why he hasnt fired Holder. During the interview, Obama made at least one false statement relating to Fast and Furious and many others of questionable veracity.
Congressional investigators from the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and the Senate Judiciary Committee have been probing Fast and Furious since early 2011. The investigation has been marked by what appears to be a massive Obama administration cover up. On Feb. 4, 2011, the DOJ sent congressional investigators a false letter flatly denying guns were ever allowed to walk. Justice later withdrew that letter.
Holder has failed to comply with a subpoena congressional House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa served to him in October 2011. Of the more than 100,000 documents in his possession relating to Operation Fast and Furious, Holder has turned over less than 8,000 documents to Congress.
The attorney generals failure to comply with the subpoena prompted the House of Representatives to vote him in criminal and civil contempt of Congress in a bipartisan vote.
As the congressional investigation has progressed, the Department of Justices internal Office of Inspector General has conducted its own investigation. Despite claims from Holder that a recently released report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz exonerates or clears him from responsibility for Fast and Furious, Horowitz testified before Congress that his report does not clear Holder.
Horowitz told the House oversight committee that his team found that almost everyone inside Holders inner circle knew about the nefarious aspects of Fast and Furious and that Holder should have known about it, even if his investigation found no evidence that he did.....................
From Univision, last night
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will shut down anyone he wishes to - like Gallup.
Thanks for the link!
The most corrupt AG in history appointed by the most corrupt so-called POTUS in history.... It figures.
...must go to prison”. There, I finished the sentence for him.
Rime to double down. Do NOT let this die. Start flooding congress with emails and phone calls until the bloody wheels fall off their damn gravy train!!! Decency demands it!!!
CAN ANYONE TELL US WHO AND WHY THE ROUGHLY 110 REPUBLICANS ARE THAT ARE NOT SIGNED ON TO THIS AS WELL?
Like the Captain of a ship... Holder is in charge of the people below him. So, either he knew about it and approved it or he was incompetent and not doing his job.
Either way, it’s criminal. Either way, he must be held accountable. Either way, he must be put in prison.
This is just one more reason we must have repeals of gun control laws. The Government has shown itself to be malicious against the American people and apparently incompetent and bumbling proving that the Government doesn’t have the ethical, moral or mental stability to maintain any type of gun control without resorting to Unconstitutional and immoral action.
At the very minimum, we must have a repeal of all bans and all exemptions for Government in all firearms laws. If they can’t do this, then our Government needs to be reformed into one that can and will.
An incredibly weak and wimpy article. This is the correct lead sentence:
Holder and Obama smuggle weapons into Mexico used to slaughter and murder Mexican children.
When you’re in a propaganda war against a ruthless enemy, you present the most damaging facts possible to paint the enemy as ghouls.
“Holder and Obama smuggle weapons into Mexico used to slaughter and murder Mexican children.”.
This needs to be put on every facebook, twitter and what ever other avenue available to get the word out. Bring the heat on the bastards and let the chips fall where they may.
Holders Department of Justice
Dial M for murder.
and well, what do you know....
Here’s our Man of the Hour ... Mr. Holder...from a different day and age...
Radical then... AG now...
Sorry for the repost, Cincinatus’ Wife...
I just this on Weasel Zippers. My bad.
The key thing here is that R+R use Holder as an example of why O is bad, as with all the other things we hate that they have done.
Hope he keeps this up.
Our tiny voices is nothing compared to theirs, so it is important that they speak out.
well how else does a radical progressive earn his spot ???
back then he proved he was willing to git-r-dun- for the cause, and was given a bit more authority [ASS DOJ] and proved willing to cover up murder/slaughter...
natural selection for a bump to AG...
“...well how else does a radical progressive earn his spot ???..”
Two turds of a feather, him and his boss.
He should hang for what he did. No less.
He should hang for what he did. No less.
