Is Barack Obama a Compulsive Liar?

A Sociopath:

A sociopath is typically defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others.  A sociopath is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused--it is done to get one's way).  Sociopaths have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others.  Sociopaths are often charming and charismatic, but they use their talented social skills in manipulative and self-centered ways.

A compulsive liar:

A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit.  Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions.  Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small.  For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right.  Compulsive lying is usually developed in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary.

While Barack Obama exhibits traits from both categories, it is becoming increasingly clear that he is primarily a compulsive liar.  How else to explain the lies and obfuscations that so easily come forth regardless of whom he may be talking to or the subject matter.   His sociopathic skills come to the fore in his ability to manipulate others to join him in his these prevarications, or to exploit the celebrity culture that has overwhelmed a deliberately ill-educated American society.

I know of the book, but haven’t read it.
The author’s thesis is solid, indeed, BS is what drives
the engine of all those Democrat Party “strategists” who infest FOX and other outlets like hordes of cockroaches, or more appropriately, termites. What constitutes “Lies” and what constitues “Truth” is of course always debatable, and the Left knows this-—our political process puts them permanently “out on bail”, so that all they have to do , after months of stonewalling every actionable issue,is to indignantly submit themselves to
“hearings” and investigations that go on so long, they have ample time to BULLSH*T their way through all of it, through surrogates twisting the narrative at every turn, to ensure that the accused will come out smelling like a rose, a rose wilted to be sure, by unfair prosecution of the other side
“merely for political gain”.
Somebody once said “Always tell the truth, it’s easier to remember”. For the Left it’s “Always bullshit your way through everything—it’s easier for our supporters to remember, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat”.

AND OF COURSE I should have added that Obama/Bill Ayers
has also helpfully provided that previous generation of Lefties with that Encyclopedia of Lies known as “Dreams from
My Father”-—a greater gift they could not have hoped for, since it constitued the formal package and wrapping through which Obama was marketed and sold to the American People as
post-racial healer—even though there was nothing in the book
that suggested that’s what he’d turn out to be.

Everything he says and does informs his islamism, and I believe he’s smart enough to know that fealty to a deity will win the day over fealty to any human god. Even him.

I posted a thread last Friday, (About the Daily Mail picking up the Story about Obama’s Naughty Mama) and an Hour later it was gone. I asked if they pulled it, and I got no response. I have NEVER gotten a response to any question I have asked them.

Is there a way to get an answer from the administration?

how much do you think the MSM’s nonstop positive shield for all things Obama is worth? Didn’t, once upon a time, the Federal Communication Commission have some sort of regulation called the “fairness or equal time doctrine” regarding media reporting? regardless of how much money Romney raises, i can’t imagine it ever being able to match the value of what the MSM provides to BO.

Reminds me of the anecdote about an Army messenger's finding Gen. MacArthur sitting in a Jeep by the side of a road on Luzon, listening to the sounds of combat up ahead of him. The messenger delivered his message and left, and MacArthur was quiet for a little while. Then he said, to nobody in particular, "Now there was a man who never told the truth, if a lie would suffice."

The American People are going to have to get over our habit of elevating men like that and celebrating their ability to scratch our prejudices and tease our hopes while screwing us royally.

And he had the trick of raising his eyebrows to make his eyes bigger and more sincere: "I really, really, really mean this!!" Dead giveaway.

That, and a visit from "Sid the Squid" Blumenthal, father of "Max the Beast" Blumenthal, retailing a story about Mad Monica the White House Stalker .... before the blue dress showed up.

The real question (obscured by the short headline) is whether Obama is a compulsive liar or a sociopathic liar.

The answer is, yes.

Frankfurt does not apply his thesis to the behavior of the left, but only considers the relationship between truth, lies and bullsh*t at a general level. (For all I know H.G. Frankfurt might well be a liberal Democrat — he is an Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Princeton. On the other hand, he may be of an old enough generation that conservatives were common among Ivy League faculty in his day and he may be one. I don’t know.)
