I think were at the most dangerous time in our political history in terms of the balance of power in the role that the media plays in whether or not we maintain a free democracy or not. You know, when I first started in politics and for a long time before that everyone on both sides, Democrats and Republicans, despised the press commonly, because they were SOBs to everybody. Which is exactly what they should be. They were unrelenting. Whatever the biases were, they were essentially equal-opportunity people. That changed in 1980. There are a lot of reasons for it...

The most dangerous enemy is one from within... Like a malignant virus, cancerous tumor or parasite that thrives on sucking the life out of its host, ultimately destroying it. The United State main stream media (MSM) is hell bent on derailing our democratic republic and robbing future generations of their American identity. Not only are they so obviously biased, they are getting bolder by the day, with like an almost frenetic, shiver up you leg frenzy. They have lost all shame and have given themselves completely to whoredom... as if that weren't enough, they are trying also to re-write history. It is pathetic and saddening.
To: hope_dies_last
All part of deliberate Marxist planning. For several decades now journalism schools have been teaching students that their job is to “bring about social change”, not “report the news”.
To: hope_dies_last
The US media is completely irresponsible. They have destroyed the meaning of democracy by deliberately and willfully hiding facts from the public about democrat candidates, and propagating lies about normal people.
They intentionally blocked from the public the fact that obama was a communist and a black separatist with strong feelings for the ideology that he practiced as a child in Kenya.

Journalists or those [posing as journalists should be neutral in their reporting.
There is no neutrality in America;s media.
It is liberal in it;s views and distorts facts and makes up their own stories and reports them as facts.
It is impossible to believe anything the media reports in politics, and in other news, it has gotten so you can tell the race of the person’s being reported on by the failure to mention the race.

We are entering an Orwellian Future, but with so much denial few will see things as they really are.

Create worldwide conservative TV channels, create worldwide TV channels of all kinds of political ideologies, and create worldwide “all politically neutral, all of the time” TV channels! This is the definitive answer to dealing with worldwide political bias by the worldwide left MSM!

Mainstream media is threatening our country's future Most of their employees are skid marks on journalism's shorts because..
their employees are people who believe in Journalism as a way to make a difference. (How many times have you heard that since the "Watergate" days?)
Though these particular young people of the 1960s may not be "journalists" many of their underground comrades are "journalists" and all are today's establishment.

There is no doubt that Romney is blowing an election he could not lose, and has done everything he can to lose it. Does Willard even want to win? I guess we'll find out at Wednesdays debate.
There's so much low-hanging(rotten)fruit on the Obama tree it would be like shooting fish in a barrel for a debater like a Gingrich or Palin. We'll see if Romney really wants to take this Mau-Mau down or if he wants to play nicey-nice like McCain and lose.

Nevertheless, in most advanced countries, the following will be pretty generally applicable.
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal obligation of all to work. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc

....it has gotten so you can tell the race of the persons being reported on by the failure to mention the race. In our local paper a shooting that killed a woman and wounded a man was being reported on just the other day. It was reported as gang related. The names of the victims were obvious names that are common to black people. The report stated at the end that they were looking for a "tall man" as the shooter. No other description, just a tall man. In other words, the paper was too chicken-$hit to report the race of the shooter even to help find a murderer.
Another FReeper once stated here and I quote: "Political correctness is the belief that you can pick up a turd by the clean end".
Political correctness should be consider anathema to a free press.

I don't see that journalism has to be nonpartisan.. I recall the days when cities had multiple newspapers; TV had not become a major source for news.
So if you wanted all the news you could get it from the newspapers, liberal, conservative, and extreme.. there of course was no talk radio as we know it today (The "Fairness" Doctrine ruled.). The weekly news magazines (Time and U.S.News & World Report) were excellent news magazines that tended conservative and Newsweek seemed too liberal for me.
My point: with the alternate media going strong we have returned to the "good old days."
The MSM employees should admit their bias the way conservatives do then so what would it matter what the MSM do.. until then they are skid marks on Journalism's shorts.

From
my first book, published in 2001:
Once democratic acquisition of the use of property is codified under the power of government, commons are forever subject to political control. Economic goods that originate from the land become desired for the collective perception of individual benefit, because the cost is but a whim. The asset, the environment, has been thus devalued to little more than that.
First, people want to control a view, then they want it as a place to hike, then add the water in the creek to protect the fish, a wetland for migratory birds, a whole watershed to control all erosion, or to add a buffer zone to reduce encounters with overpopulated bears. Then they want it to be closed to all public entry so that they don't feel guilty, then they want it connected to a corridor to transmit genetic variability, then they want a whole forest region as a carbon sink, then a mountain range as a bio-zone for the expression of spiritual life forces, then...
Given that the ability to gain personal control of commons is based upon the ability to make a political sale, there are several prerequisites:
- A simple justification to maximize the applicability of the claim to individual perceptions and desires.
- A majority perception that acquisition comes at minimal personal cost.
- Collective benefits that are difficult to measure or long deferred.
- Powerful beneficiaries with sufficient personal interest and resources to fund and execute the taking.
- Control of communications media to consolidate political forces then becomes the means to control the factors of production and key to the control of wealth.
I think that's reason enough to understand why owning a communications channel is profitable even while operations are not. As long as the owner of the company has other assets that can be profitably manipulated by said medium, there is no end to what they will do. This is why the real problem with the MSM is that they are owned by giant corporations using those operations to improve the returns on their other holdings.

I watched Pat Caddell’s speech from start to finish at the Accuracy in Media meeting [September 21]. Caddell is a Democrat and former Carter aide that has become appalled by the Democrats and their willing allies in the MSM. This man was on fire! He pulled no punches and rightly classified the MSM for the biased, lying vermin they've become. He is absolutely correct about the threat they pose to America. He also excoriated the Beltway GOPee elites for their spineless, gutless failures to engage and fight back.
To: Venturer
Journalists no longer give us the news: They give us their opinions of the news. The sooner the American people wake up to that, the sooner we can make changes.

Yesterday there was not a single piece in The New York Times over the question of Libya.Someone protested an embassy somewhere? Some guy got killed? Libya? Yeah, maybe, I think I remember something about that. That was soo last month. More importantly, Obama's going to give me a free cell phone!
There is no doubt that Romney is blowing an election he could not lose, and has done everything he can to lose it.
No, the GOP is losing it just like they intentionally lost in '08. Remember them locking Palin away from the cameras and McRino's "we shouldn't be afraid of an Obama presidency? Our own Congress and SCOTUS are, in Thomas' own words, "evading" the eligibility issue. It's all been deliberate. There is no longer a two party system but a single one devoting itself to the destruction of freedom and the msm is in bed with them.

Pat Caddell slams the media: They have become an enemy of the people (video 26:00)
The media as it is has to be destroyed. No other political fights can be won until the press is completely exposed, discredited and humiliated for being just what Pat has called them out to be. Enemies of the people. It has to be the number one fight or all else is lost.

I went to Journalism school in the 1965-1969 time frame and took mainly advertising courses, but I also took a course in news-editorial. Back then we were taught to report the facts—who, what, when, where and why in the first paragraph, and to keep opinion pieces on the editorial page.

PLUS I would think they also get helped by getting bonuses $$$$$$$$$$$ for helping those such as Hussein Obama. Which they no doubt hurry to put in their SWISS BANK accounts. Follow their money trail. Didn't Chrissie Matthews say he got a bonus in 2008 when Hussein Obama was elected?

It sounds like it’s time to do what libs love to do and we’re loathe to do: boycott sponsors. all they care about is pushing a homosexual, cross dressing what ever twisted kind of sex agenda and covering for their messiah.
Just look at what is going on Egypt a mess , taken over by radical, Libya chaos, Afghanistan now going to crap, Iraq a mess now.
Illegal immigrant homosexuals now stay here, rapes on men by men last year shot up to 19,000 in the first year of openly serving homosexuals.
Debt up
food up
foreclosures up,
gas up,
income down
The list is endless.
Then there is obama going to Vegas after the attacks, him now lying about what they knew, fast and furious, etc etc etc
There is no way he should be anywhere near where he is but of course these idiots which vote for him have no idea about what I have just pointed out because one they are ignorant and two the media does not tell anyone.
\\\
How do I know, because every time I meet anyone who states they will vote for obama admits they have no idea about those issues above

We are actually past that point, and the world economy is nothing but a manipulation of the printing presses to cover the crash with funny money as long as they can, while they transfer the remaining wealth to a select few, before eliminating all national currencies, replacing them with a global fiat currency.
