WBUR poll shows Elizabeth Warren maintaining slight lead over Scott Brown in Senate race
The Republican ^

Just hours before they take the stage in the second debate of the Massachusetts U.S. Senate race, a new poll shows Democrat Elizabeth Warren maintaining a slight lead over Republican Sen. Scott Brown.

A WBUR/MassINC Polling Group survey of 504 likely voters concluded that voters prefer Warren over Brown, 46 percent to 44 percent, although the lead is within the poll's 4.4 percent margin of error.

When those polled were asked to choose which candidate they were leaning toward, Warren opened up a four point lead over Brown, 49-45 percent. A Boston Globe/University of New Hampshire poll released over the weekend showed Warren with a 43 percent to 38 percent lead over Brown.

The WBUR poll concluded that 52 percent of those surveyed hold a favorable opinion of Brown while 47 percent said the same thing about Warren. Brown continues to maintain a higher margin of favorability among the state's prized unenrolled voters, 61 percent to 39 percent for Warren. As of August, independent voters not enrolled in any political party made up 52 percent of those registered to vote in Massachusetts.

If the lawn signs in the area of Western Ma I frequently travel in, Scott Brown is ahead by a wide margin.

IT’s who is going to vote.

Will Obama supporters not make the effort to vote because MA is in
the bag???

There is high interest in the Senate race but will these people remember
to vote?

Will the independent, Lexington-Concord patriots, tea partiers, Obamacare
repealers come out in force in MA?

Are we still mad?????

Heck yeah.

In the special election, Brown won by 5%. Here I hope he wins big,
but I am predicting 3 win for Brown. Warren has Hollywood and everyone donating to her.

People are still fed up.

On Cape Cod, it's closer, but I'd say Brown is somewhat ahead. On the other hand, in MetroWest (about 15 - 25 miles west of Boston), Warren is ahead on signage and bumper stickers.

Interesting how Warren bumper stickers outnumber Obama bumper stickers in MA by at least 3 to 1. You have to wonder why those brain dead people don’t put BOTH on their car. After all, MA is an epicenter of blind, mindless liberalism. To me, it’s more evidence that Obama enthusiasm is not there.

January 10, 2010 nine days before the election: Democrat Martha Coakley, buoyed by her durable statewide popularity, enjoys a solid, 15-percentage-point lead over Republican rival Scott Brown as the race for US Senate enters the homestretch, according to a new Boston Globe poll of likely voters.
How did this turn out?

I’m putting my money on Brown in this one. The Cherokee stuff followed by this controversy over her legal practice completely undermines her credibility.

I’m not optimistic. I say the Fake Indian pulls it out.

“Remember, the banks got a bailout with your money. And what did you get in return? A fraudulent foreclosure on your mortgage and 35% interest on your Master Card. Send me to Washington and I will make them pay!”

That’s gonna have a powerful appeal to a lot of people.
Particularly people who kept sending Teddy Kennedy back for four decades.

Warren is going to get trounced. Plain and simple. Only people within Rt. 128 are going to vote for that hag Warren and Repub voters are going to come out in huge numbers on Nov. 6th.

I’m sure it has become very ‘politically incorrect’ to say you are voting for Akin, and I would not be surprised if this is having an effect on what people say to pollsters. We’ll see on election day. Kind of amazing that without any official party support, and after being attacked by the media, Akin is still in it - and could certainly win.

Dear Paleface Lizzy: Massachusetts law requires that you have a Massachusetts fishing license in order to go fresh water fishing in Massachusetts. The law states that you must show this license to any law enforcement official who requests to see it. You are even required by Massachusetts law to show your Massachusetts fishing license to any land owner whose land you are crossing to fish and who requests to see said license. This is required to put a worm in the water in Massachusetts. Yet, you and your Democrat supporters seem to feel that you aren’t required to have a Massachusetts law license in order to practice law in Massachusetts. This means that you are conceding that you are lower than a worm. Congratulations. Love and kisses to you and Mindy.

In the western suburbs of Boston I'd say that Liawatha has a slight advantage in bumper stickers and yard signs but not a big advantage by *any* means.

If WBUR says that Brown’s down by two that means he’s really up by six.

A WBUR/MassINC Polling Group survey of 504 likely voters

How many of those polled live within the Route 128 circle? I'd bet on at LEAST 80% of the poll.

Like I said, ALMOST.

This is one race where I really hope the Republican — Brown — wins. He’s a likeable guy despite some of his positions (and we’re not going to get any better in liberal Massachusetts than Brown). And Warren is such a flaming Communist witch. I really don’t want to see 6 years of her.

Wasn't Liawatha caught practicing law without a MA license recently? I thought that was a serious charge?

Amazing how the more scandal ridden democrats are, the higher their approval rating goes up amongst their braindead constituents.

The last debate was entertaining ... good zingers from Scott Brown. Lizzy Runs with Buffalo Chips is crazy, looked like she was becoming unhinged in the last debate. Hopefully that continues. I think she suffers from the strain of maintaining a very deep and powerful lie, but without Chicago buddies near by to handle the flak.

No, he’s not conservative but he comes from a radical town with an 85% liberal state Senate - also the senate Mitt dealt with. Oddly, the more educated you are here, the greater the chance you suffer from believing in socialism (although you never call it that to yourself.)

Worth watching. He’s not a tea party guy by any means, but he is definitely ‘the least worst’ Senator Massachusetts could hope for. He’s also charismatic, relatively humble given his trade, smart but not too smart .. and funny. And as far as charisma goes - Warren is equally fun to watch for the opposite reason - anticharisma.
