President Barack Obama arrived in Nevada last night to begin three days of debate preparation at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort, a luxurious golf community just a few miles from the Las Vegas strip.
According to the White House pool report, the "resort is a strange mix of desert sand pits, green lawns, palm trees and new homes. We passed a replica of the Ponte Vecchio and some luxurious lakeside estates, also unfinished lots and a browning golf course. The president's hotel has a Middle Eastern theme and a view of the lake from the lobby."

Why does he need to go to Vegas? He’s got Camp David. He’s got the whole WH. He’s just addicted to spending our money.

Well, one good thing about him staying at a place like this-I bet it will be really hard for his babysitters and tutors to make him stay in and do his cramming (to learn about the job he’s held in title only for almost 4 years other than his dictatorial decrees), instead they’ll be constantly having to drag him back in to study.

I agree that he should be in DC doing the business he was elected and is paid to do. But, I do understand why they would choose this particular resort area.
It sits down in a private valley and is extremely difficult to access by car. There is only one road in/out and it is a narrow winding two lane road with very little light.
Most Vegans don’t go there as it is so badly accessible. That is why their casino went belly up, no business.
It makes sense from a security stand point.
Since he’ll be given all the questions in advance, Obama’s debate prep will consist of writing the answers down on his shirt cuffs while waiting to tee off.
And it will be equipped with prayer mats I bet.
I think Dwight Eisenhower had a few holes built in there.
