Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway endorsed Mitt Romney ahead of Wednesday's presidential debate in Colorado.
“Governor Romney is a proven leader with the experience and background to turn around our struggling economy,” Elway said in a statement. “In these tough economic times, we need a president who understands how to get America working again – by standing on the side of taxpayers and small-business owners who do the real job creating. I am endorsing Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan for President and Vice President because I know having the courage to make decisions and tackle challenges is what leads to results and real change. America needs a comeback team – Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are that team.”

Elway is a morally bankrupt weasel who managed to get wealthy because he can throw a football. He is not as universally loved here as you think. He would do best to stick with football and not embarass himself by trying to run for office. Colorado republicans have much better material to work with than Elway. And I say this as a lifelong football/bronco fan

I have known several people who travelled with the team or worked the bronco charters. Not one had anything nice to say about him. He needs to stick to football and stay out of politics

Bronco fan since 83, hard time to be a fan in High School in the bay area, but it paid off for all of us Bronco billys as my friends called me during the 89 super bowl. 55-10 niners. BLech! But I love John still trying to get over his backstabbing of Tebow. This helps a little bit...
