MSNBC's Bashir Suggests a President Romney Would Be Mental Breakdown Waiting to Happen
NewsBusters ^

In an interview last Thursday with Reno, Nevada, station KTVN, Ann Romney said her chief concern with her husband winning the presidency would be his "mental well-being," adding, "I have all the confidence in the world in his ability, in his decisiveness and his leadership skills, in his understanding of the economy, in his understanding of what's missing right now in the economy - you know, pieces that are missing to get this jumpstarted. So for me I think it would just be the emotional part of it."

Obviously, in context, she was not suggesting her husband couldn't handle stress well, just that she knows the presidency is a stressful job and would be emotionally taxing on the man she loves. But to MSNBC's Martin Bashir, it was an opportunity to run a segment on his October 1 program where he strongly suggested that Romney may not be mentally fit for duty as president.

Wow, did she open a can of worms with that comment. She just handed libs a years worth of ammo. The media will have a field day with this.

MSNBC’s entire staff is a bunch of unscrupulous weasels. Acknowledging them to be such, I don’t pay attention to anything they say.

Bashir is a British POS,has a daily panel of 3 screaming lib-o-tards that spend the show massaging each other and is just as if not more rabid than that asshole Mathews

She was just being honest about a stressful job. Every time I look at Martin Bashir I think of that horrible Michael Jackson interview where I couldn't figure out which one was the weirdo child molester. (both?)

But if a break-down occurred, he still couldn’t do 1/10 as much damage as the “sane” obama has already caused.

Well well well, like clockwork, they’ve pulled out the old anti-conservative playbook. Just like they said about Goldwater, Romney’s not all there. He’s not stable.

Goldwater’s nuts, Nixon’s crazy, Ford’s had too many blows to the head, Reagan will blow us all up, (they liked Bush), Dole is senile, Bush is a trigger happy cowboy, McCain will fly off the handle, and now Romney will have a breakdown. So predictable.

If they need ammo after Nov. 6, that means that Romney has been elected, right?

This is just today's special; they'll find something else terrifyingly wrong with Mittens this time tomorrow.

She could simply point out that she’s observing the damage done to the mental defective that has the job presently.

Oh, they will continue to assault him even if he loses, just like they did to Palin.

MSNBC’s staff is undoubtedly more knowledgeable in the what’s and whassis of a ‘breakdown’ than just about any other group outside a psychiatric hospital you can find ~ but evaluating the risk in others is probably a bit beyond their capability.

Bashir is absolutely correct. Romney winning on Nov 6th will be a serious mental breakdown for the liberal left.

And Obama is ...? Brain adled from drugs (Choom Gang), psychopathic, narcissistic personality disorder ... plus a few other unsavory personal behaviors I won’t mention.

The only one looking to have a mental breakdown if Romney wins is Bashir himself...Oh, and 99.9% of the Hollywood glitterati and 90% of journalists. Bashir is one of the nastiest partisan hacks—and the list is long—on MSNBC.

Use Zippo as an example as to how the presidency has affected his mental state and he's become a pathological liar.

Actually McCain really is a hot head. I saw him blow up at the media back in 2008 and it was NOT a pretty sight even though it was the media on the receiving end.

I agree with your point though (except for McCain).

History repeats itself.

George Romney came back from Vietnam and said that the US military had "brainwashed" him about the true situation. Of course what he meant was they bullshitted and dog/pony'd too much. But the media went ballistic on that one and created a narrative of Papa Romney being somehow mentally unstable. His positives dropped like an Acme anvil in the desert while his negatives rose like a hot air balloon over Albuquerque. Looks like this will be the narrative for Mitt Romney. RINO, I know, I know (just like his Dad), but we have so few cards in our poker game here. We first stop Obama, and then we get this guy in line or if not possible, engineering an internal butt whooping to get him with the conservative program. There are many conservative leaders who would be all to happy to do so, starting with those he vanquished with Party Help and Media Coddling in the primaries.

GOP Pres nominees get one bite at the apple. If Romney loses, then he is no longer a threat to the left because someone else will move up. Although Letterman and the View will still make occasiona lame jokes at his expense, since he's the closest thing to a president they will have to lampoon for the next few years.

Palin was only VP nominee so it stood to reason that she would be a top contender in 2012. But first and foremost, she dared to go after Obama in her convention speech, which was taken as a personal affront by those in his personality cult. She was really the first to question his divinity.

Ryan, like Palin, will continue to be the target of leftist vitriol regardless of the election outcome. They're terrified of him.
