"Further investigation of the enclosure revealed that the hogs, which each weighed about 700 pounds, had nearly completely eaten the farmer, although some body parts were strewn about the enclosure."

When I was young I learned that when you carry buckets of food for the pigs, you keep your thumbs tucked in under your fingers. You won't go three steps into a group of pigs without seeing exactly why. In the meantime,
Beware of any man who keeps a pig farm.

Last fall, one of the relatives shot a 300+ lb feral sow on my place and dragged it into a clearing about 1/2 mile back from the road to "let Nature deal with it".
A couple of days later, I started to point it out to my wife, and all I could find were a few tufts of hair and a couple of toe bones... At first, I blamed the disappearance on buzzards and coyotes -- until my neighbor pointed out that it was more likely her "family" that scarfed her up...

Just a little off topic...
I had a first cousin, once removed who lived alone. He was just a bit eccentric and had a lot of cats in the house. No one realized that he had not been around for a few days and when they discovered his body it was determined that the cats had gotten hungry......
