Obama says all-day debate prep "is a drag"

LAS VEGAS Even at a resort hotel, President Obama says spending all day prepping for a debate "is a drag."

"They're making me do my homework," he said in a phone call with a political volunteer during a visit to his campaign field office in Henderson, about a 30-minute drive from his debate camp at Lake Las Vegas.

He said the debate preparation was going great, but "basically they're keeping me indoors all the time."

But they did allow him to take a break and drop by his local campaign storefront. He walked in with six pizzas as a way of saying thanks to the 20 or so volunteers there.

"I know everybody has been working really hard," he said, though he mistakenly said there were 34 days left to the campaign. His volunteers knew there were 36 days left.

"Whatever it is," he said, "it's really coming up quick." He said the race in Nevada was going to be "be close all across the country."

Can Romney redefine himself in this week's debate? Obama holds slight lead ahead of debate Obama camp plays down debate expectations Let the debates begin He also sounded like he was worried about some kind of October surprise surfacing during this month.

"There are going to be a number of other things we can't expect over the next couple of weeks," he said. He didn't elaborate, but he delivered a decidedly optimistic refrain.

He wouldn’t have to do it if he wasn’t so stupid and had an IQ over 50!

You know damn well the media has given him all the questions in advance.

He is counting on his media comrades to push him over the line.

The important question has to be “are “they” dumb enough to re-elect this failure for four more years?”

That answer will tell us more about the future of our nation than the election. “They” seem to grow in numbers every decade. There are many FReepers who would blame this election on Romney should he lose. I really don’t know who we could run that would convince “them” that his ideas are better when so many view the guy like a rock star on American Idol and don’t understand what Obama has actually done (or not done).

Romney might deserve some blame, but a fair historical measurement clearly illustrates that this administration has been horrible. What does it really say that so many of our fellow citizens could measure this man and believe that he deserves 4 more years? I watch the media coverage of this campaign and wonder how so many can lie with conviction. Who could really penetrate the media fog that permeates this nation? Who? Compare any Obama scandal to the news coverage during the Bush administration. The bias is so horrible that it is difficult for people who pay attention to truly measure the Romney campaign.

I am afraid for my country and my children. I am praying that voters will admit that we made a big mistake in 2008. Romney would have to earn a second term then the old fashioned way.... with results.

I suspect Obama finds anything to do with actual governance to be “a drag.”

Speeches are fun, though! Blah-blah-blah!

I wonder how many lines of ‘coke’ 0bama will snort before the debate starts?

They finally told him the national debt was over $16 TRILLION and he replied, “Oh my God!!!.. Good.”

People like this love and support him. Concentrate on the video and analyze everything about the person.

It's hard to cram a complete grammar school education into so little time.

He seems very focused and quiet - I expect him to come out ready and very presidential Wednesday night.

To those who listen to what Romney is saying, carefully, I think he will be an effective persuader. His words are like a hypodermic needle vs. BO's lawn sprinkler -- if I can make that clumsy analogy.

I am surprised at the nakedness of the diminishing of expectations. At this rate tomorrow’s headline will read “Obama Falls Asleep During Debate Prep; ‘Oops,’ He Said, ‘Hope That Doesn’t Happen When It’s For Realz’

Zer0 is what he is: A big talker but at the bottom of it, an underachiever. In my book, he is a scoundrel.

Perhaps if you replace the lawn sprinkler analogy with Obama peeing on our legs and telling us it’s raining, that might do it!

Tonight I was watching Donald Rumsfeld on Greta’s show and he has that fantastic voice, tone and word selection that is so wise and convincing. He was talking about the ineptitude of the handling of the Libya Ambassador massacre and used terms that lead you to know the Obama admin is lying and inept. I hope Romney can do the same. He has done it before, so I expect him to do well.

the key is getting inside Obama’s head and off kilter, do that and Obama will collapse like a cheap suit, keep mentioning stuff he does not want to talk about, call him out, his head will just explode, he hates being questioned and arrogant, angry touchy gaffe prone Obama will show up.

Romney needs to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.

It is these welfare queens that are churning out more of her kind. It is like a cancer cell spreading in the process of metastasis. In this case it is a cultural metastasis. The fabric of America is in advanced stages and we need a leader who will treat the condition before it goes terminal.

"You know damn well the media has given him all the questions in advance."

Spot on! Zer0 is rehearsing his lines with a teleprompter feeding him his lines over and over. He has a whole week to get it straight without a teleprompter. Otherwise, it will come out like, "Um, er, ah, ah, c-could y-you re, re, repeat the ah, que question?"

If Zer0 is stuttering, he did not have the questions. If Zer0 is as smooth as teleprompter, he had the questions and rehearsed the answers.

Also, look for a finger in the ear. He has a wireless earpiece for last minute coaching. It means, turn it up or turn it down.

If Reagan had the level of deception and hostility the current media running him down, Jimmy Carter might have gotten a second term. At the very least, General America wouldn’t have heard about the Iranian hostages.

Yes, the media was hostile towards Reagan, but not on this level and not so deliberately deceptive, even to the point where they won’t report American deaths in a hostile world.

Watched Obozo talking his “jive” talk at one of his campaign stops. He was hyping the debates and “appeared” to be downplaying his own debate skills.

I always watch his eyes. He isn’t happy he has to face Romney in these debates. It is almost as though he resents having to face the challenge...as though his policies are above reproach.

I have read he really dislikes Romney. Why? Because he resents having to answer to his opponent in the campaign. I don’t think he believes he should have to run again for reelection.

Bammy isn’t normal. He has big time mental issues. I would go as far to say that he is probably the most frightening individual we have encountered in politics.

Obama doesn’t intend to lose the presidency. He will try to keep the power by any means he can devise. He has no limits.

This is where Zer0 will rehearse his lines for the debate . . .

. . . between his rounds of golf and his lines of coke.
