There’s a scene in “My Cousin Vinny” after Judge Haller has reservations about Vinny’s license to practice law. Where Lisa takes matters into her own hands. Vinny asks Lisa, “what the hell was that all about back there?” Lisa replies, “I had a friend send a fax to the judge, confirming the very impressive legal stature of Jerry C-allo!” It is becoming increasingly clear that someone at the Elizabeth Warren campaign is doing their best Lisa impersonation.

As each day goes on, and more is uncovered, it is becoming increasingly clear that Elizabeth Warren may have committed at the minimum a misdemeanor under Massachusetts Law, the practice of law without a license in Massachusetts. This doesn’t mean she wasn’t intellectually qualified to do so, it means that she didn’t do the proper paperwork, or pay the proper fees. She’s not opened an IOLTA account for the storing of client funds, the interest of which goes to indigent defense. Imagine what would happen to a plumber, real estate agent, doctor, or any other professional who practiced without a license in Massachusetts.
Elizabeth Warren is not just a Harvard Professor, she’s an undocumented lawyer.

But it’s ok, be use her great, great grandfather had the uppity indignation of a Harvard lawyer, and how can anyone challenge that?
The debate went into a fair amount of detail about the extensive legal work that Warren has performed.
Her lack of a license to practice law in MA? Too boring to mention. It just didn’t come up, man.

Why didn’t Scott Brown mention it? I found it very strange. As far as I know, it is an established fact that she has no license, and that she does practice law. And her opponent won’t talk about it during a debate. Weird.
That is a sure case of practicing illegal law. She should have had a $300 per hour lawyer saying she was guilty for her. How dare she try to take a living wage from some underprivilged lawyer trying to pay off a couple of hundred thousand dollars of Ivy League student loans.
The criminal grandmother should have gotten 1 to 10 for fraud !!

I’m not a big fan of profanity but I’ve seen the original version and the T.V. version, which was censored and the profane version was funnier. I suppose profane language has its place. A very funny movie indeed.
Joe Pesci is a funny guy and Fred Gwynn as the judge was perfect casting.
How ironic that Elizabeth Warren, the ultimate Communist, ran afoul of the regulatory maze she seeks to expand.

Reminds me of practicing President with a stolen Social Security number.
I too was surprised that Brown failed to bring it up, but then I realized he was very smart. This story has legs...it’s growing..and I suspect Brown is saving it for the next debates(s)...also, Hiawatha probably expected him to bring it up, she was waiting for it/expecting it....so it helped throw her off stride.
In Massachusetts, you have to have a license in order to drop a worm into the water. If Paleface Lizzy didn’t need a license, then that makes her lower than a worm.
Pssstt: she never went to Haavaad, until she got a job there. She was hired as visiting lecturer and when they saw what a swell job she was doing of being a dotriacontaroon that they took her on full-time.
