Political donors connected to the National Football League have donated more money to Republicans than Democrats according to a recent tally from the Sunlight Foundation.

According to the report, team employees, including players, owners and staff, have donated over $1.5 million for this election cycle. But Republicans received nearly three times as much from donors associated with football teams as did Democrats.

Eleven of the NFL team owners favor Romney, according to FEC campaign records – compiled by Business Insider’s Walter Hickey in September. These donors have donated directly to Romney’s campaign or through the Republican National Committee.

According to BOR, NFL viewers don’t care about politics.

Personally I’m not a football fan but its pretty obvious that plenty of FReepers are NFL fans and political junkies.

NBA political donations to Mitt Romney and Barack Obama revealed

http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2012/08/18/nba-political-donations-to-mitt-romney-and-barack-obama-revealed/

EXCERPT: According to research by HoopsHype.com, the largest individual donation was $15,000 (to the Romney campaign) by Michael Gearon of the Atlanta Hawks’ ownership group.

Rockets general manager Daryl Morey donated $8,500 to the Romney campaign (outspending his colleague in Boston, Danny Ainge, by $6,000), and $7,500 Romney donations were made by Pat Riley (Miami Heat president), Herb Simon (Indiana Pacers owner), and Thunder minority owner Aubrey McClendon, who donated $2,500 more than principle Oklahoma City owner Clay Bennett.

Among Obama supporters, Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers and San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich donated $5,000 apiece, as did players Baron Davis, Vince Carter and Grant Hill.

Another notable Obama supporter is NBA deputy commissioner Adam Silver, who donated $2,000. Among owners, Ted Leonsis of the Washington Wizards donated $5,500, and Philadelphia 76ers CEO Adam Aron went into his wallet for $5,000 for the Obama campaign

More than a little odd that they’d retain that pansy, obviously progressive, PC infected, Roger Goodell, as the Commish. Drudge has an article that says 3-1 in favor of Romney from all levels of NFL personnel.

Didn’t know, but googled and found that he is married to Jane Skinner, a former FNC reporterette. That doesn’t change my impression of him.

Of course HoopsHype has conveniently omitted NBA puppetmaster David Stern, who funded Bonzo and other Rat bastards quite generously in 2008 and has been continuing ever since.

Look him up on opensecrets.org and you'll see it all. There's more than one donor by that name; he is clearly the one from Scarsdale.

While we can expect the NFL contributors to Romney to be reviled and calls for boycotts to take place, Stern's tribal allies in the media will give him a free pass.

I would say that many NFL fans are conservatives. A little off topic but was anybody really annoyed by this pink uniforms yesterday? They looked like a bunch of fags out there.

The sports team most closely identified with Baraq is the Pittsburgh Steelers. The owner donated so much $$ he was made an ambassador, and now he's back in the states working for the campaign. Also HC Tomlin has donated to Obama and Democrats this year.

FWIW, I had the same thought when I saw the picture of the White House bathed in pink light.

Do they do up everything in BROWN for prostate cancer?

They are both killers, why should one be ‘glorified’ and not the other?

Why aren’t the ‘brown and yellow and black people’ upset that breast cancer is designated pink?

ALSO, I think PINK was associated with the Homo community (or definitely at least girls) before it was breast cancer or did ‘we’ steal it from them same way ‘they’ stole Gay from the General Vernacular or when the ‘MSM’ changed ‘US (R’s)’ from BLUE staters to RED staters?
