I know. I really am html challenged. I can write a book in six months, but can’t figure out how to imbed images. Need to practice.
For embedding links in your posting, this is a really simple format to use:
The first full URL is the link to the whatever you are embedding. You can put whatever you want where the second URL is. I usually just put the full URL there so that people know where it is pointing.
They can just click on the link, and don't have to copy/paste.
It will look like this:
Replace the URL with the URL of the image you want to embed. If it isn't already on a webserver, you will have to upload it somewhere, like ImageShack. If you don't know the URL for an image that is already on a webserver, try right-clicking the image. In Firefox, you can select View Image to just view the image (and the URL will be in the address bar), or just select Copy Image Location to put the image URL in your clipboard.
I'll leave it as an exercise for you to figure out how to embed an image in your posting, and link it to another webpage, so that the user will go there when they click on the image. A hint: Use the URL link example I posted above, and replace the second URL with the HTML directive above (that imbeds the image).
You are doing just fine. Please ignore and forgive the nasty posters. They do not know any better. They were raised by wolves without social graces.
