Either these agents were sent to be murdered by DOJ.

Or perhaps they were sent to transfer secret equipment
to the drug cartels and then be murdered to cover the transfer.

They did not seem to be trained on the operation of the vehicle.

Another COVER-UP from the FOREIGNERS REGIME. I hope Issa and Grassley continue the investigation after the Obama Regimes defeat in November. WITHHOLDER should see Stir Time. Along with many other communist appointees and drone followers.

This STINKS! .... embassy assignment, "no security issues" but State Dept had forbidden employees to be on the road, why those two .... surviving agent has evidently gone underground .....

No one knows for sure why Agent Zapata and Agent Avila, assigned to the US Embassy, were asked to travel on road 57, a road controlled by the Zeta Cartel and extremely dangerous. They didn’t even know why they were given the mission to retrieve electronic surveillance equipment. The urgency made it even more suspicious.

“Why Jaime and me?” said Ms. Avila-Villalobos. “It wasn’t our operation. It was equipment that could have been sent in some other way.”

Agent Avila immediately asked his supervisors why they wanted them to travel on this risky road given the security issues. The supervisors claimed there weren’t any security issues. However, the United States State Department had forbidden any US Embassy employee from traveling on that road.

Agent Zapata and Agent Avila met with American consulate agents in Monterrey and received 14 boxes of equipment.

Agent Avila pressed the emergency satellite button, but it did not work. He also tried to place an emergency call to the embassy, the Mexican capital, and the First Post of the Regional Security Command. They told Avila a Mexican Federal Police helicopter would be there in 40 minutes.

he last time Agent Avila was seen in public was at Agent Zapata’s funeral. He does not sleep, has nightmares, lost all his hair. His family said he is a different person.

Wasn’t it true that Zapata ran across some evidence about the ATF gun running and had filed a brief about the investigation? I was thinking I read that someplace.
