First lady Michelle Obama called contraception “basic preventative care” and invoked her daughters before talking about women’s “decisions about our bodies” during a campaign fundraising event Tuesday.
The first lady spoke at the Westin Hotel in Seattle where, according to the White House press pool report, about 700 attended, paying between $500 and $10,000.
“Insurance companies now have to cover basic preventative care – things like contraception, cancer screenings – at no out-of-pocket cost,” Michelle Obama said, referring to the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare. “They won’t be able to discriminate against you because you have a preexisting condition like diabetes or even asthma.”
A product of the new health care law was a regulation issued by the Department of Health and Human Services that requires all employer-health insurance plans to provide free abortifacients, sterilization and contraception.
Numerous religious organizations and other employers have sued the administration over the mandate because such a regulation would violate the First Amendment guarantee to free exercise of religion.
The first lady went on to talk about her husband President Barack Obama’s commitment to women.
“Believe me, today, as a father, he knows what it means to want our daughters to have the same freedoms and opportunities as our sons, and that is why the first bill he signed into law was to make sure that women get equal pay for equal work,” the first lady said.
“And that is why my husband will always, always fight to ensure that we, as women, can make our own decisions about our bodies and our health care,” she added.
These folks are the same people who define pregnancy as a disease, yet idolize celebrities who are showing a “baby bump”.
Her husband the same guy that did not want his girls punished with a baby..

So now a baby is some DISEASE that need to be PREVENTED?

I had two daughters.
I taught them to keep their knees together until they were ready to raise children.
I had a friend who told me he couldn’t be against abortion because he knew his daughter was pretty and might get pregnant before she was ready.
I told him he had a job to do as her father, and he needed to make sure he did it right - not pre-excuse his failure.
What has happened to the men in this country, anyway?

It is SOSOSOSOS important that people won’t spend a dime of their own money on it.
This isn’t such a bad thing, guys. We’ll be able to get free condoms, and for older guys what good is a condom if you can’t use it, so free Viagra should be available, too.
