CAIRO (AP) -- Two Coptic Christian boys have been put in juvenile detention after locals accused them of urinating on pages of the Islamic holy book, an Islamic cleric and prosecutors said Wednesday, in the latest in a series of legal cases in Egypt against alleged contempt of religion.
Accusations of insulting Islam have increased in Egypt - particularly against Christians - since last month's fury over an anti-Islam film produced in the United States. Such cases occurred in the past, but the flurry to prosecute in recent weeks has raised concerns over freedom of speech and over the power of ultraconservative Islamists in the country.

Islam: the courage of cowards.
Think they are also being raped, like a girl would be?
someone needs to make toilet paper with Koranic verses on it.
But hey, it’s a DEMOCRACY now, right???
Isn’t that what they said about Iran in the late 70’s?
They must be raped because islam can not execute virgins.
Piss Christ—grant from the National Endowment of the Arts
Piss Quran—possible death.
Those imams are all very ignorant people. They never think of what will happen to tens of thousands of korans as this news spreads.
I’m putting one to good “use” right now...
Democracy isn't always a good thing. Most of the world's population is probably not actually ready for it. Years from now, when we eventually have to dig our way out of the ashes of a wrecked economy and try to build a better union, I am hopeful folks are open to the idea that universal suffrage, while a fine idea in theory, may not be the best path forward. I do not believe non-producers who are dependent on government welfare should be able to vote themselves more of other people's money. At the very minimum, those collecting government charity, should not be allowed to vote.
Democracy in a country like Egypt simply produces mob rule. It might have been a better idea for Egyptians to learn about the concept of protecting minority rights before assuming they'd function very well with a democracy. In the long run, perhaps it will all work out - people do need to be allowed to make their own mistakes. In the short to mid term though, Egypt and these other "arab spring" countries are going to be a mess.
Of course no proof just the word of some POS imam. Just like that girl in India. Found out it was a false accusation but the people didn’t care. She’s Christian, that’s all that matters.
