A business owner in northeast Harris County shot a suspected burglar trying to steal car parts, deputies said.
The shooting happened at A Plaza Auto Parts at 904 Hill Road and Hardy Toll Road at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The owner said he arrived at his shop to find two masked men attempting to steal expensive car parts.

What’s wrong with this guy? Didn’t he have a junkyard dog?
Something about the perps being masked to carry out a salvage yard robbery strikes me as humorous.
“Whats wrong with this guy? Didnt he have a junkyard dog?”
Yes! it’s name is Glock
“The owner will not be charged.”
I’m starting to become a little resentful of this and similar journalistic cut and paste thrown in at the end of shooting stories. Nothing in the article implies there is any possible rationale for charging the owner. So this statement is unnecessary, yet implies that it was a judgment call on the part of the police not to charge him with something.
Compare it to an unsuccessful purse snatching, in which a woman punches the attempted purse snatcher in the face, so he runs off.
“The owner of the purse will not be charged.”
See how out of place that seems? And yet by inserting it in every article when guns are legally used to thwart crime, it implies that gun use for self defense is questionable, and borderline illegal.
Forget the dog. Beware of Owner!
See how out of place that seems?”
They probably didn’t read the article either but just did the cut and paste for that, too. It reminds me of the responses I receive from my Senator (Cornyn in Texas). The issue doesn’t matter, the response is always the same.
Houston has some very high crime areas.”
Didn’t used to be like that. But we were inundated by NOLA residents after Katrina and then lots of illegals who have found haven in just one of the state’s sanctuary cities. I certainly don’t go into any part of the city without being armed, particularly at night. Democrat mayor and activist Quanelle X. Losing combination for the city.
