Massacre leaves liberals in tears
NY Post ^ | 10/4/12 | JOHN PODHORETZ

Slaughter. It was a slaughter.

Mitt Romney put on the most commanding presidential debate performance of the insta-commentary era. One could literally watch, on Facebook and Twitter, hundreds of people on both sides of the political divide react in real time as the debate went on.

Their reactions were identical, though their moods were not: As Romney dominated exchange after exchange with a surprisingly effective combination of pointed personal touches and remarkable factual preparation, conservatives and Republicans grew more and more jubilant while liberals and Democrats grew more and more alarmed.

I think we saw the Paul Ryan Effect on Mitt. It sounded to me as if Paul Ryan had been coaching Mitt.

I can’t wait till next week when Joe Meets Paul.

“he has a lazy thought process”

Just plain arrogant, spoon-fed his entire life...no-nothing teenager...

This is typical of most leftists - they aren’t used to having to actually address the issues in question. They’re used to yelling “racist” and having their opponent back down.

Arguing with a liberal is like playing chess with a pigeon.
No matter how well you play chess, the pigeon just knocks over the pieces, craps on the board, and struts around like he won.

One thing is certain, last nights performance will not recur; the left will make sure of that.

Simply wrong! The next debate is foreign policy and Romney will crush Bozo again. Bozo can't blame Bush for his foreign policy blundering, unlike the economy. He is even more naked.

Don't forget that last nights trouncing is firmly planted in Obama's narcissistic psyche also. He'll be twice as likely to screw up and look like the empty chair he is.

Romney is not ‘my guy’; I’ll be holding my nose as I vote for him. But after last night, I’ll be holding it a little more loosely. If nothing else, I was ecstatic to see a Republican actually fight back. Romney had some great zingers (my personal fave was when he said he had 5 boys, he’s used to people repeating the same thing over and over and trying to convince him that it’s true). When I compare it to the simpering of McCain during the last go-round — the difference is astonishing. I just wish he was an actual conservative.

The debate in a nutshell:
Chairman Obama: “It’s simple math...arithmetic..”
Mitt Romney: “Limit(n -> infinity, Sigma(i = 1 to n, i^2 / n))”
Chairman Obama: “Umm...yeah...what he said.”

Obviously Muir_redwoods believes he’s just so intelligent, wise and capable that he has to be holding back.

You saw the real Obama. The empty suit that has been protected and coddled by the press and his handlers (but I repeat myself) his entire career.

That guy in the middle is breakin’ the gaydar.

They're all making my gaydar ping a little.
Could you imaging the 2-year-old style hissy-fits being thrown after they saw the trouncing their queer-in-chief got?
Egads.

You? Nope, she’s lookin’ at me all the way... :)

My pigeon analogy lacked “uttering unintelligible, rude, and vaguely obscene sounds”.

I am watching Fox right now. They have McCain on. He was asked why Zero was so bad last night. His reply: “Four years inside a bubble with an adoring media.”

Exactly right. This is what you get when no one challenges anything you say, and you surround yourself with yes men. This is what you get when the world fawns over you and gives you the Nobel Peace Prize for NOTHING.

And he did himself a universe of good. In the first flash poll, done by CBS, he was not only judged the winner by a margin of 56-32, but even more striking, the number of those who said they thought Romney cared about them doubled, from 30 percent to 60 percent.

Last night, Romney utterly destroyed the message and effect from the hundreds of millions of dollars that Bozo has spent up till now on ads.

Agree. Couple that with that he has not had to earn anything he has in life, but has had it given to him. Obama is a genius in only his and Chris Matthews mind. Matthews cannot sing of his greatness because he keeps a certain part of obama’s anatomy in his mouth.

We just saw the last 4 years put into perspective.

The next debate is about Foreign Policy.

The events of the last few weeks all around the world are putting are pointing out the consequences of the last 4 years of Obama foreign policy in an extremely negative and disturbing fashion.

Obama is not well placed for a comeback, even with all the help he is going to get from his friends in the media

I was stunned to see CNN’s political staff openly saying last night “well he is the president and he’s not use to being challenged while living in the presidential bubble.....yadda yadda”. I’m screaming at them WHO’S JOB DO YOU THINK THAT IS MORON’S!”

"I will go with: Obama is a lazy stupid assh*le"

While your point is factual, I will go with--Ohuckster was never the intellectual giant and champion speaker his acolytes made him out to be. He has always been a practiced debater, learning to read his lines with little flourishes such as the clipped uplift of voice and chin at the end of a sentence.

The man is a Southside Chicago political huckster with an agenda of divisiveness, race baiting, and class warfare to "fundamentally change this country"--into Chavez' Venesuela or Castro's Cuba.

Pray hard for the sheeple to get a brain and help us to rid ourselves of this menace to freedom and prosperity.

Six months ago I postulated that if the real Obama was ever REVEALED to the American people this narcissist might just collapse. I even suggested a possibility of a suicide attempt. Sounds like last night may just push this arrogant little prick over the edge.
