Romney's Going to Win

I must admit that 4 years ago, when the field had whittled down to McCain, Romney and Huckaby I hoped Romney would get the nomination. After this debate I feel I wasn't all wrong then, though, this year I would so have liked to have Sarah Palin as the GOP candidate. But, alas, she chose not to compete....

McCain was a weak candidate, but with the support of Palin and Giuliani he might have overcome his weaknesses, if it hadn't been for the financial crash, and the complete hash his campaign made of that.

Uh no. That was not competence. Maybe competence with debate skills. After all it's not easy to tear apart your competition for implementing your Romneycare plan at the national level and make it look good.

It was one sided, because Obama has a record and neither candidate has a plan or a clue. Neither candidate has a decent economic plan. Neither candidate is competent.

One did come up there better prepared to debate. And did an excellent job of reminding us of many of the problems of the Obama administration. But he was still almost every bit as much Hope and Change as Obama was in 2008.

Trade was barely mentioned. And when it was, it was Romney expressing support for more free trade, which will outsource more American jobs.

Obama is not wrong when he says Romney has presented no details. And without details his goals are suspect. It's true. Obama hasn't either.

It's Hope and Change 2008 vs Hope and Change 2012. It's not competence at all.

But I did see a headline quoting Van Jones as saying Romney out Obama'd Obama. LOL

I am with you exactly. In FL, it was the pivotal vote between Romney and McCain, and Romney was the absolute better choice. I have no delusions that Romney has real weaknesses as a conservative, but I have admired his leadership since those 2002 Olympics. He’s a highly capable guy, and I respect that.

My major concern this year with Romney was his Romneycare support. I felt like it was an albatross, much like McCain’s was going against Bush’s tax cuts in the early 90s was to him in 2008. Romney handled that quite well last night....he did a nice job illustrating the differences. He could go further, and there are things I wish he would have said, but he had a nice response none-the-less.

Much as you, I felt last night that my decision to support Romney four years ago bore out to be the right choice.
