Spillover effect from operations concerns Cornyn
A senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee called on Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. on Tuesday to immediately make public any information the Justice Department has on the existence of federal gunrunning operations in Texas and to reveal the source of weapons found at the February 2011 murder scene of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agent Jaime Zapata.
Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican, said in a letter to Mr. Holder that more than 19 months had passed since the veteran federal drug agent was gunned down during an ambush in Mexico and his family deserves answers, not more stonewalling.
Mr. Cornyn first asked the attorney general for information on the Zapata killing more than a year ago and received what he described as a cursory response, which said only that a review of the senators concerns was under way and he would be notified of its findings as soon as possible.
Eleven months have passed since I received this response, and your department has failed to answer my questions, he said in the letter. This is unacceptable.
Mr. Cornyn, in response to the congressional investigation into the Fast and Furious gunrunning operation, has pressed Justice to explain whether operations also took place in Texas.
He said the departments reluctance to address allegations of additional gunrunning schemes in his state had raised serious questions, adding that similar efforts by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives had significant spillover effects in Texas.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Maybe if the TX Attorney General would take out arrest warrants against any and all BATF employees located in Texas, then arrest them at gunpoint and sweat them in individual interrogations. Don’t they have a 24-hour window to be able to hold them without charges?
I believe that the State of Texas has its own RICO statute. They just need an AG with the balls to declare the ATFE a corrupt organization.
One disaster after another. You can plainly see why the forefathers wanted only NATURAL BORN CITIZENS to run this country. We can thank the socialist democrats for committing the fraud allowing obama to be eligible to run for president.
How long have the republicans known obama's father was never a United States Citizen?
And you blame the democrats for his installation into office?
I saw PELOSI’S signature on the altered eligibility document used to convince states to allow THE FOREIGNER to be on the ballot. Last time I checked she was a ANTI AMERICAN SOCIALIST DEMOCRAT to the core. She no doubt had help from other democratic supporters.
The Supreme Court of the United States has never applied the term natural born citizen to any other category than those born in the country of parents who are citizens thereof.
Finally paying some attentiom to Jaime Zapata.
Your losing me sherlock. The eligibility documents Pelosi signed deleted words to the effect the candidate is eligible under the constitution of the united states. That means you have to be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN to be qualified. The democrats knew he was not a natural born citizen and therefore altered the documents so he would qualify.
Some noteworthy articles about politics, foreign or military affairs, IMHO, FReepmail me if you want on or off my list.
Thanks for the ping!
I'm not sure but I don't think so. There are so dang many ads that I tune them out after awhile.
