I have never understood that argument, if yo don’t want to go to jail don’t commit the crime.
Really many brain cells to know if you take/sell illegal drugs, eventually you will be caught and go to jail.
How many brains cells to know if you kill or beat the crap out of you will go to jail.
Good grief how many brain cells to know if you steel or rob you will eventually go to jail.

No, no, you see he’s borrowing from “disperate impact” theory. It doesn’t matter whether free will is involved. If drug laws end up affecting black people at a statistically lopsided rate than no matter what happened between the law being passed and the present instant, nor whether it was intended that way, the law is racist. Don’t blame Branson, either, for he is only saying what supposedly reasonable judges unreasonably rule all the time in discrimination/affirmative action cases.

Oh, to put it in a simple way, they are saying blacks are inherently stupid and must be excused for their actions.
Isn’t that racist?

The first US gun control laws were racist too.

I agree somewhat with Branson on this point.

The entire war on drugs is maintained for it’s cash cow benefit to the LE and Judicial/Legal industries.

Can you imagine how many courthouses, jails and LE departments would have have to layoff personnel if weed were decriminalized? No to mention the lawyers.

Well if Little Ricky is so upset I suggest he pull all his money and business out of the US and play somewhere where people care what he says.

So, it’s OK to put white people in prison for drugs, Richard?

As long as there is a welfare system picking the “tab” of the lives of addicts I want drugs to be illegal.
When there is no welfare system and you can drug your self into nonexistence on your own nickel then drugs can be legal.

So it is a mute point

Now if I were Black, and I knew the “white” authorities were going out of their way to unfairly prosecute me, would I try to acquire and use the drugs that would get me thrown into prison?

Does that include the mind-altering addictive drug alcohol?
