I believe that, too. Sadly, for most humans, as we grow up we’re taught to ignore it. I’m an animal whisperer. I used to get cravings for tuna in the evening when I wasn’t even hungry and I’m not that fond of it anyway. I finally realized it was because of my cat. I cut short an international vacation because I knew something was very wrong. My cat who was boarded with my vet had become very ill and they hadn’t called me. I can hear my dog bark in my head to get me up when I stay in bed too long. He knows he’d be yelled at if he actually did it. So, sometimes being a whisperer is both a blessing and a curse.
I will go to my grave swearing that God Himself has dropped certain dogs into my life exactly when I needed them most, often by nearly impossible sequences of events.
I’m pretty sure He just did it again.
I have been searching for a ‘wife’ for Odin but with extremely specific parameters for the ‘perfect dog’ and against all odds and information to the contrary, recently found the woman who has his daddy *and* a gorgeous female who was ‘due any time’.
Her pups were born on the 24th.
I literally woke up one day with an urgent need to track the woman down *now* and found her within a few days.
He has been *extremely* generous to me.
He knew what I needed and led me to her, just like he did with Odin 3 years ago.
I’m not worthy.

We deem ourselves “not worthy.” If God deemed us unworthy, we would never have the friends, relatives, families and pets that we have (had) over our lives.
We are given what we deserve, and we are not the ones who can say what that is.
I believe animals are in my care, but equally, I am in their care, because that’s the way things work. I’m sure I’m not the only person who has communicated with animals via mental images. It happens when the bond goes both ways. Love it and be grateful that you are LOVED!

@Above My Pay Grade Pups probably use instinct more than their noses. Just like they sense danger, or know when someone they love is coming home, or the dogs that sense seizures or illness. They are truly our greatest earthly Gift.
Dogs *know* stuff we never will.
He sat in the shade by the door for four hours, even fell asleep. He acted just like he was waiting for someone. Our mail room guy was petting him and after 5 minutes of tolerating that, he growled at him like, "Okay, that's enough." Finally, a lady who usually works at our other campus and was here for a meeting walked through that door and he jumped up and went to her like he knew her! We said, "Is that your dog?" She goes, "Of course not!" "We'll, he's obviously been waiting for you because there are three of us here willing to take him home, but he chose you." She ended up taking him with her and was going to have him scanned for a chip to see if be had an owner. It was the strangest thing I've ever seen.
The late Igor and I had a copper-colored Siberian and his eyes were gold. He always smelled like snow, even though we were in CA.
See? I believe all animals know when their potential owner is in the building! LOL!
They’re such beautiful little people. Too smart for their “2 Legs” good. I love all the Nordic breeds, especially. Your boy is in Good Hands until you’re with him again, but it’s awfully hard to miss them.

I rescued mine as a puppy when he was 2 mos old from the Western PA Humane Society over on the North Side. He was there with all his brothers and sisters in the one pen in the puppy room they have there.
This tiny little black puppy just ran up to edge of the pen and gave a little squeaky bark and wagged his tail so I had to pick him up. he started licking my face and tried to nip my nose. It was like he picked me. So I told the girl who worked there, “Okay, this is the one, what papers do I have to sign?” Tojo’s been my loyal beat friend ever since. He’ll be 6 on the 24th of this month.
I’ve had dogs all my life, but this one is THE DOG, if you know what I mean.
We were looking for a companion dog for a Cocker we had rescued from an abusive home. I saw an Ad for free dogs in the paper. This woman had about 10 dogs in a double wide trailer and she fed them by throwing the food on the floor. We asked about the ones she had and she told us that sheriff said she had toget rid of all ofthem or they would be confiscated. Whe shoed us this little darling that she claimed was a cocker shitzu mix. She was smallenough to fit in the palm of my hand and promptly fell asleep. We said we would take her and she tol;d us she would be weaned in a couple of weeks I picked up on Martin Luther King Jr. day and had to drive home with her in my coat. She taught our rescue how to play and have fun and was his constant companion until he developed cancer. He was my wife's dog and that little girl has been daddy's little princess since I brought her home.
