Rasmussen: FRI: 10/5: O: 49% R: 47%: Obama -11% "Post Debate Improvement"

Friday, October 05, 2012

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows President Obama attracting support from 49% of voters nationwide, while Mitt Romney earns the vote from 47%. One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided. See daily tracking history.

These results are based upon nightly interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, only about one-third of the interviews for today’s update were conducted after the presidential debate. The single night of polling conducted after the debate did show some improvement for Romney, but it remains to be seen whether that will continue or if it was merely statistical noise. Sunday morning’s update will be the first national polling based entirely upon post-debate interviews.

If a majority of voters cannot figure out that 0bama is an incompetent leader after the first debate, there really is no hope for this nation. It’s not just that 0bama is a despot, it’s that a majority of American people have become ignorant and immoral. We all could be subjected to the tyranny of an ignorant and immoral majority.

Last night's polling by Rasmussen is one-third of the total, so the debate should have moved Romney from minus two to even just for one night, moving to a plus four eventually. Instead, there was no movement, just "statistical noise" or a rounding error, and Romney stayed at minus two.

This is not good. Seventy plus million watched Wednesday night's debate. If the electorate took in that debate and did not change its mind, then the majority of the American people are as you describe them.

You are exactly right, I am 68 and I find it amazing to see that there are people with college degrees who still support Obama and will vote to reelect him. Fifty years ago it would have been hard to find anyone stupid enough to vote to elect him the first time. People like Nancy Pelosi used to be locked up in mental hospitals to protect them from themselves and to protect others from their stupid actions. To suggest electing someone like her to congress would have produced howls of laughter and disbelief.

The events of everyday life in 2012 are so strange that had someone fifty years ago written a book portraying such happenings it would have been considered too far out to be anything but pure fantasy or science fiction.

It seems more and more that “IDIOCRACY” is merely a documentary.

Freepers must remember that every year the number of rational voters dwindles while the number of the truly ignorant and misinformed grows larger. I still expect Romney to win this year, but the problem is the percentage of intelligent voters goes down markedly every election year. ...............................

On Greta's show tonight they went to a college campus in Wisconsin. Every student asked said that it was not fair that obama could not use his teleprompter for the debate.

:(

Romney has to get out hard hitting ads about the rising cost of our everyday living expenses, gas, food, taxes to mention but three. Romney needs to hit hard and remind people that THEY should have the FREEDOM to make choices themselves, that THEY should have the freedom to care for their children as they see fit, what health insurance THEY should choose for themselves and their family..that NO government should have the power to tell THEM how to live THEIR lives, that NO government should have the power to take away THEIR life, THEIR liberty and THEIR freedom to pursue THEIR happiness.

Romney must pound away that oboma’s communist/marxist/socialist form of government, AND ROMNEY MUST CALL IT BY ITS NAME, IDENTIFY IT AND SAY IT OUT LOUD, will attempt to attract the masses with “free” food/food stamps, “free” healthcare, “free” housing, “free” education, to entice people, like flies to honey. And when this form of government has full control of the masses, they will bring down their iron fist and DENY them their freedom, their liberty. CAUGHT like rats in a trap.

ROMNEY must cite other countries under this same form of government that oboma is espousing..Korea, China, Cuba, where people are scratching and clawing to escape from, and ask the people of the United States if this is the kind of country they want to live in, is it? ROMNEY MUST CALL THIS EVIL BY ITS NAME AND SHOW EXAMPLES OF HOW THIS EVIL WORKS IN KOREA, CHINA, CUBA, with pictures and commentary from immigrants who have escaped from these countries to the United States of America, land of the free and home of the brave. PICTURES OF THE ATROSITIES IN THESE COUNTRIES, WORDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ESCAPED FROM THE ATROSITIES OF THESE COUNTRIES WILL STICK IN THE MINDS OF ALL PEOPLE WHO SEE AND HEAR THEM...ROMNEY MUST HIT HARD AND CALL IT BY ITS NAME...NO MORE SOFT, VAGUE WORDING OF THE TRUTH...SHOW PICTURES AND LET THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ESCAPED THIS HELL TELL THEIR STORY..HIT HARD, ROMNEY, AND CALL IT BY ITS NAME.

Be patient. It is true: we share a nation with many fools. I live in a city of fools. But you ought to look at the state polls after the debate. Remember those ridiculous numbers in Ohio showing an 8 point Obama lead? It's tied. R R is now ahead, where it belongs, in Florida.

Chin up!

Unemployment’s a backward looking indicator. It’ll lose its shine by the end of next week.

The MSM will never crack. It’s their religion. Moreover, we cannot detrimentally rely on them doing anything.

Be patient.

Lo and behold, Rasmussen now has Romney +2 versus -2 yesterday. I guess it took 48 hours for reality to sink in to those independents (who voted for O in '08).

“...this fake unemployment rate released today....”

Next debate, were I Romney, I’d make it a point - when the Dope in Chief brings it up - to say “That’s rather miraculous, isn’t it...that your Bureau of Labor suddenly declares the unemployment just happens to release those numbers RIGHT before the election. Must be a coincidence...”.

I would hammer Ohole on it for the rest of the debate - “this number has been high all four of your years as president, and suddenly, four weeks before the election, they just happen to drop.”

My answer is this:

“7.8% unemployment is still 7.8% worth of Americans with names, faces, families, mortgages, and bills piling up that are suffering - and that 7.8% is suffering because of YOUR policies, and failure as the president, and your party’s failure as a whole. This is what happens when democrats run things. You had your shot, and you messed it up. It’s time for the adults to be back in charge.”

At least, that’s what I’d hit Ohole with.

We all could be subjected to the tyranny of an ignorant and immoral majority.

Fortunately the tyranny of an ignorant & immoral majority is also made up of vast majority of slovenly, lazy, thuggish mob rule that will run & bolt at the first sign of organized resistance. If it comes down to a tyranny of ignorant, plantation slaves, that I hope & pray that the remaining minority of "us" will have the balls & gumption to take it hard to the slovenly mob of people and forcibly remove them from power forever. And throw 0dumb0 and the ruling elitists into prison for life.

“Fortunately the tyranny of an ignorant & immoral majority is also made up of vast majority of slovenly, lazy, thuggish mob rule that will run & bolt at the first sign of organized resistance.”

The thing for conservatives to do if 0bama is re-elected is to hunker down and continue prepping. The lazy ignorant sloths will implode without any help once their food cards don’t work or inflation hits and their cards are rendered worthless. The police and military will have their hands full dealing with this bunch and most of us will be left alone in the beginning.

But we do have to worry about the white collar Leftists that will seek to use the instuments of a dictatorial state against conservatives. The white collar Leftists, teachers, union thug leaders, Lefty lawyers, bureaucrats are unprepared and they will be stunned and amazed that a crisis has occurred. They will redouble efforts to use the state as a means to confiscate property from the prepared. Hopefully, the mob will pose a sufficent threat to Leftist upper middle class and keep them off balance so that they do not join forces against us. Conservatives should consider ways of inciting conflict between the white collar Leftists and the welfare class; they do tend to live in close
proximity to each other.
The silver lining is with all of this is that this might be the golden opportunity to take out these snotty white collar Leftists.
