AARP is reminding voters that it's not endorsing any candidates after President Barack Obama cited the group in the first presidential debate.

Obama mentioned the lobbying organization for seniors twice Wednesday in discussing Medicare and Social Security. He noted that AARP supports his health care law and opposes the voucher-like program Republican Mitt Romney has proposed for Medicare in the future.

AARP's senior vice president, John Hishta, says AARP is nonpartisan and has never consented to the use of its name by any campaign or political group and doesn't take sides in political races.

They certainly have chutzpah. AARP will not get one thin dime of my money ever.

Someone a couple of days ago suggested that you can mark refused on AARP mailings. Refused sounds like it might cost them more. Before I was sending the docs back folded up in their postage paid envelope with Not interested marked on them.

AARP's senior vice president, John Hishta, says AARP is nonpartisan and has never consented to the use of its name by any campaign or political group and doesn't take sides in political races...but he doesn't deny that AARP has supported Obamacare from the getgo (so they can sell more insurance policies) and probably opposes Romney's voucher plan (so they can sell more insurance policies) - worm.....

One of the largest organizations (of any type) in the USA.
And a Democrat stealth lobby.

It’s too late, AARP. I would not buy any of your “stuff” if it was the last “stuff” available. Traitors.
