PBS CEO Paula Kerger refused to defend PBS host Jim Lehrer’s debate performance, even failing to push back against the idea that Lehrer is too old and too white for the job.
“It was a very complicated debate structure, and you saw that I think in the debate last night,” Kerger said yesterday on CNN when asked to evaluate Lehrer.
CNN’s Carol Costello then asked whether Lehrer should have had the job in the first place. “There was criticism when Jim Lehrer was initially named to be a moderator. People said: ‘oh, another white guy; he’s too old to be doing this; we live in a new world — we don’t need an old-fashioned journalist doing these things any longer.’”

Lehrer finally did what he should have been doing all along and of course... without special consideration for the Liberal candidate, they don’t show so well.
In this case, the Liberal “O” made a very poor showing... even WITH the 4 years OJT he has had. THAT shows you just how stupid and arrogant “O” really IS. He did not learn ANYTHING in the time he has spent being the ‘President’.
“O” was banking on the continued and by now very familiar laxity and bias of the moderator so he felt he did not need to bone up on the business of dealing with a bona fide challenge to his Presidency.
Poor Lehrer, even HE was probably surprised that “O” was so careless and arrogant to show up at the debate expecting the moderator to ‘carry’ him, yet AGAIN.
Lehrer must have been shocked that “O” showed up without the least preparation or the very real benefit of 4 years experience…experience that any other incumbent would be expected to exhibit AND actually to lord over the challenger.
Sheesh!! Face it! “O” has been shamelessly spoiled by the MSM and expected the Liberal moderator to prostitute himself ONCE AGAIN, TO MAKE “O” LOOK GOOD!!!!!
I'd have no problem with that, or even a loud buzzer. My problem with the way Lehrer "ran" the debate was that he did not enforce time limits; and he offered Obama more rebuttals than Romney.
It is funny to see the left eat its own in this manner. Despite more time afforded Obama and coaching from Lehrer, the left decides to blame Lehrer for O's shortcomings. Now he's just another old white guy who isn't PC anymore; so under the bus he goes.
Throw in transgendered. Boy, what a killer PC resume that would be!

Geez, it’s not like having sec with your mom. Who cares? It’s a debate, not the Superbowl. Sometimes the only entertaining moments are when the rules are in danger.
By the way, I don’t know what Toastmasters is all about, really, but you should teach eachother that making a point or just being engaging often trumps decorum. Which is not to say you should shout all your lines or moon the audience, but never forget no one listens to a speech just because it’s a certain length.

Good point. The fact that Romney occasionally pushed the time envelope worked in his favor. He made his case forcefully, kindly, diplomatically and intelligently. This is what we want in a President.
Let the candidates actually debate... no early cutoff by a moderator
The treatment of Lehrer is a RESOUNDING THREAT to the rest of the mods who step out of line with their orders from the DNC! Jim is the whipping boy for the communist liberal @$$holes who will crucify you if cross them! Jim is an example of the evil cronies putting a fiery cross in the front lawn of ANY moderator who decides to be fair with the pub candidate. I believe Jim will be getting a pink slip soon while the rest of the mods will be getting a horses head in their beds. I have never ever witnessed anything the likes of what Jim is going through....MY GOD these people are evil savages!!

Exactly right. You could actually see it during the debate as Obama kept looking to Lehrer with the save-me look as Romney was reaming him out. Obama fully expected help and so did all his followers.

i see PBS is taking leadership lessons from the Pentagon Perfumed Princes who throw their troops under the bus (ie our fault about green on blue killing, court-martial for pissing on a dead terrorist, unarmed medevacs, soldiers on food stamps but wasting $$B on untested digital camo uniform that doesn’t work. etc, etc, etc)
